I'm just not a fan of Hoffman at all if he's not scoring he useless

That's not to say he's a bad player

- GERBE!!!75PTS

top 50 scorer in the entire league last 4 years. So the whole "When hes not scoring thing" doesn't make sense.

player A is on a wing with larsson

player B is on a wing with stamkos

who produces more?

you guys need to back away from the ledge because your hate for Kane has put on blinders that stevie wonder can see through

- homiedclown

It’s not hate it’s reality.

I told everyone before the season, when his shooting % goes back to normal, he will score 20-24 goals if he plays 70-75 games. Which is good. But with his awful passing and below average D, makes him a 2nd liner.

He started on fire, and is regresssing back to what he’s always been.

A decent player, nothing special

I'm just not a fan he's only meant to do one thing score and he's struggling to the max to do that this year

Like I said it's not that he's not a bad player

A career-high of 57 points. He may not even hit that this year, even with that torrid start

I wonder if the Penguins would consider trading Jake guentzel 😊 but that's just wishful thinking ha

he's a bust.... he should be sitting in Rochester the way he plays.
- gordong

He's a kid who's moved to the other side of the world, has a ton of pressure on him, is coming off a bad injury, and may not be being put in a position to succeed. His talent is undeniable, get him a personal coach and work on whatever is wrong. Trading him now for peanuts is the wrong move.

Put him with Eichel. Eichel needs a pure scorer. Hoffman is that.

I would love to see that. The last 2 offseasons I've been asking for the Sabres to bring back Vanek, park him on Eichels wing, and let him snipe.

Hoffman is younger and may play a tiny bit more defense

That is true his speed is awesome but both of them are not that good at defense

But they will score

I’ll eat my phone if he ends up with 30 goals, unless he’s moved to Pitt and plays with Crosby or moved to Tampa and ends up with Kuch/Stamkos.

Hope he gets a few before he’s moved though

Up until a week ago, Reinhart was a bust who needed to be moved for anything in return. Now, it appears something clicked in him and he's engaged in the play, showing some wheels, and causing goals to happen. A few people even mentioned paying him this summer. It's amazing how quickly a guy's reputation can turn around once he finds his game and matures.

He needs to start turning it around, the only guy that can do that is him. We'll see but its not looking good at all. personally I think he needs a change of scenery to get him on the right track. (which is unfortunate for the Sabres, because we could really use a scoring winger)

he is a guy that deserves to get called up... worked his butt off all year in Rochester, and is producing more then any of our draft picks.

Edit: except Ullmark and Guhle

I agree that he might need a change of scenery to get him on the right track, so let's give him one. Call him up, put him on jack's wing.

it's suck a fine line

you can make the case cousins is the 8th best qb

you can make the case he is 15th best

they really are all the same on any given day

ryan
stafford
cousins
rivers
smith
wilson
goff
carr
prescott

etc
etc
etc

when they are on, top 3 qb for that week

- homiedclown

The issue is, can the bills find someone in the draft that is going to be better then 8-15th best qb?

Probably not.

I just hate to see us throw a bunch of money at a free agent, then the guy underperforms.

See: sabres

Most on here want to dump ror , risto and okposo. Not all free agents, but paid well and not top at their positions.

I think this could be an offer that works for both sides.
- sskkoo1

I'm not sure why ottawa would give up a possible top 1-5 pick for our garbage. This guy will be cost controlled, High end talent potential.

Nylander can't possibly have any value right now
2nd round pick - not the nfl
Bogo- combo of one of worst contract/player ability/ injury in nhl
Bailey- ahl minor league guy, closing in on 23 years old.

The sabres would jump at this offer

4 goals in his last 28 games

0 goals and 1 assist in his last 9

I think you're just looking at first round pick the return he was rumored to get was when he was on that hot streak he has been so bad lately

- GERBE!!!75PTS

Someone needs to come out of the "woodwork" and argue with Gerbe.

I'm not, I totally agree.

If we get pick 1. Would you trade it for Karlsson (extended) to start competing now

Guhle Karlsson, Middlestadt make us a playoff team. Karlsson has about 4-5 years of elite hockey left

Personally I wouldn’t, but it would be tempting
