You have a one line team. The Bruins are primed for a first round upset if they don’t get some true scoring depth.
- Rinosaur

Just because the Bruins have the best line in the league doesn’t mean they are a 1 line team. Krejci, Soooner and Debrusk have been contributing as well Backes/Nash/Heinen have been a terrific 3rd line. Any of those lines will score if too much focus is spent shutting down the big line.

Not with any regularity what-so-ever.

Three players have 40% of the goals scored by the Bruins.

- Rinosaur

The Lightning have one line make up 38% and the Blues make up 36%. Im guessing you wouldnt call either of those teams top heavy.

Theyve also been getting a ton of secondary scoring throughout the near 2 month streak with the young guys becoming more situated and Krejci getting back into the lineup.

During the streak
Bergeron, Marchand, Pastrnak
5.1 goals/60, 1.0 goals allowed/60

Krejci, DeBrusk, Spooner
4.6 goals/60, 1.7 goals allowed/60

Heinen, Nash, Backes
3.0 goals/60, 1.5 goals allowed/60

Kuraly, Schaller, Acciari
1.3 goals/60, 0.9 goals allowed/60

And all of that is without mentioning that our top heavy line is the best line in hockey and has been on the ice for I believe a total of 3 5v5 goals all season and 2 of them were because of a massive (frank)ing up Brandon Carlo off a faceoff win.

But that doesn’t fit the narrative! I wouldn’t mind tinkering with that second line though. Krejci needs a real scorer to play with. DeBrusk has a bright future in Boston but I’m not sure he’s ready for a cup run yet. I want the B’s to go for Grabner. He should be relatively cheap, he’ll score goals, and he should help the pk.

The Bruins were a one line team last year. That is not the case anymore. They have a very deep lineup when healthy.

How can a Penguins fan call any other team top heavy?

Firstly, all this talk about lines, especially the best in the league??

E Kane is on his way!

Then you're only a 1 line team, (frank) me be careful, Kane will be straight onto that bastard right there. Then there'll be none!

That was fixed 2 years ago with the Shags, Boner, Philbo line being the 3rd line. Culldog 4th line C that topped off a very effectively bottom 6. Before that though, people were picking Shero up off the floor we were so top heavy!

This year, you can call it the Blender Penguins.

Blues aren't doing anything this post season unless they address some serious issues with depth and team defense. Blues have 1 scoring line and then three 3rd or 4th lines. besides the top line (Schwartz, Schenn, Tarasenko) i could see the Blues not having another 20 goal scorer on the team.

Meh wouldn't be different than most years when they do go after players at the deadline and still get knocked out in round 1 or 2. I would take my chances with the current roster unless they get a steal of a deal.

Most of them are kids who have been improving all season. This type play form this team was completely unexpected and it's barely February. Also those 2 of 3 players are elite and one is pretty close to it so I would expect that most of the production comes from them. Making a move and overpaying for a borderline 2nd tier forward like Evander Kane would be dumb.
