I’d say there is an 80% chance we walk out with one of Svech, Zadina, TK. Reinhart gets moved because he is a valuable asset to bring a defenseman back in a trade, not necessarily because this season has been a huge disappointment for him career wise. Reinhart will be a top 6 forward in this league and he’ll look good on whatever team he ends up being moved to, if he is ultimately moved. Then 2 years from now you guys will be complaining about the fact that we moved him. The key however is the d-man he can bring back. Botts needs to win the trade.

It is? I disagree. It’s the same

Kane sets up way fewer goals than most top 6 players

You don’t think that negatively effects his line mates ?

He’s statistically an awful passer

- sbroads24

No,
it’s not even close to the same

Aren’t u the one always p!ssing & moaning about secondary assists?
No such thing as a secondary goal,
is there?

Goals >>> Assists

Split was pretty damn good.

That was him? I haven't seen that. It looked kind of dumb. Maybe I'll have to check it out.

Unbreakable

I have not seen split yet though

- homiedclown

Unbreakable was ok. Still only saw the need to watch it once though.

Well, then i really hope no one jumps ahead of us

Tkachuk makes me nervous
I think he MIGHT turn out to just be a 3rd liner
Idk that he will be much of a scorer in the NHL?

I might actually take Boqvist over him if picking 4th

You could be right. I just wouldn’t count on it.

The guys who take years to develope didn’t have the mental aspects of the game down, or the opportunity on the top line like Reinhart did from day 1 (in year 2)

It’s guys like Drouin who wasn’t “trusted” or didn’t know where to be and had to deal with constant demotions that take years to develope.

And yes, there are outliers on each side of the fence

- sbroads24

You cannot paint every player's development with a broad brush as your paragraph above does, as you know.

That would be the ideal time to trade down? I'm sure there are plenty of others who would trade up for Tkachuk. If you're a GM and make that move, you better damn well be right or you'll look like a fool and probably fast.

Idk...
I’d only wanna trade down a few spots at most
It doesn’t happen that much in hockey
GMs don’t like to take a chance on missing their guy

Just be happy if we get the chance to draft Tk. The real odds of picking in the top 4 is closer to 50%.

If we finish 2nd last,
the odds we pick in the top4 is 69.9%

and what are the odds of that?

also about 70%....which makes 50% pretty much right.

Idk...
Ottawa is 2pts ahead of us with 2 games in hand
Arizona is only 4pts behind us with 1 more game played

I’d say the odds are roughly the same that we finish last as they are we finish 3rd,
a little worse i guess

But since there’s really no way to predict that...
i was just using the numbers for where we are now

Of course there's ways to predict it, and web sites devoted to it:

It’s still a guess
Also...
all that shows is that there’s a 70% chance we finish worst in the east
Which means #2 slot at worst
It doesn’t give a prediction for whether or not we will drop below Arizona

Anyways...
it’s all just a guess

For the sake of discussion,
I’m still just inclined to go with where we are currently
That makes the most sense to me instead of trying to guess where we end up

that article is from almost a year ago.. i thought it was going to be an update on him. i was also hoping to hear more about him at the world juniors.. but i would think he has the potential to be a future 3/4 C

Sam Reinhart = Joel Armia

Difference is Armia never got ice time with Eichel.

If you traded Armia at 22, for a D man with upside, perfect.

If you throw Sam into a trade with 4 other peices, eff you Jbotts, you suck

- sbroads24

Great post to start my day with this guy!

Both have 2 totally different skill sets one is a 3rd line player and the others upside is top 1/2 line. 23 is starting to find himself, but to compare Armina........

MAG 7 pts in 7gp ( playoffs ) “ next soup “ goes on to be a bust

Nelson 4 pts in 7GP ( next ghost)
Most likely will go on to be nothing special

- GERBE!!!75PTS

Nelson needs to work on his arm positioning in his own zone. He's been called for one hold, and he's been very close several times

How Rex got rid of his Sabres stuff after being fired.

Long winded.

Nothing prevalent.

He is the biggest, loudest ass; and proves it every time he opens his trap.
How the Pegula’s bought into him is beyond me, glad he is gone though.

Yuuuuuuup. I think the Pegulas wanted to make a splash as new owners. Their coach just quit and they liked his cockiness.

He sold them on the fact that he'd run a better defense than Jim Schwartz.
