Yeah, the wealth of potential top9 guys is great

Too bad the defense is in such rough shape though
He utterly failed there

U act like these guys are helping the Sabres make a playoff run, not Rochester

Last time the Sabres were really good was right after Rochester was really good.

Why? Why even think about it? I know you're an ignorant Toronto fan, but do you really think, I mean really really really think the Sabres would trade Eichel? The answer is not even close, unless the player in return was Mcdavid. That's it and only it.
This is why other fan bases can't stand Maple Leaf fans. Because you come up with ignorant, ridiculous theories, based on your delusional sense of "self-worth" in regards to your Leafs! Just stop it!

Now that you cleared that up.
What do you think of Trump?
Schumer?
Bullying?
And if we should be happy that Woods suffered a career-ending injury?
Please no more than two pages on any on3 of them.

Sure...
but we have no defense coming besides Guhle

And that’s on GMTM too

A lot of the good players in Rochester are Vets that won’t ever really help the Sabres

Casey Nelson reminds me of Campbell at this point in his career. Gets called up, sucks, gets called up, sucks, stays up, sucks, stays up, last chance, is awesome.

He just won the AHL All-Star game MVP with the 1-0 championship game winner while Ullmark combined on the Shutout and all the mega fans were sleeping at the wheel debating an Eichel or Matthews trade. Well done 89 and Pach, glad I’m not the only one paying attention.

Thank you GMTM, your service is missed.

I can find 8 slots up front for next year

kane
pouliot
larsson
girgens
nolan
wilson
pommer
reinhart
josefson

- homiedclown

I like Josefson for the 4th line, if he could stay healthy.
As much as I Kid about Wilson, they could do worse than him on the 4th l8ne as well..but I’m ok if he goes.

Reinhart is pulling his game together, but I still want him gone. To me he is a guy who won’t ever put 8n the dedicated effort it takes to stay in the top 6, and his speed is an issue.

That’s exactly how it played out for Campbell. If you disagree, you were too young to remember.

Still to be determined

Up to this point, all the moves on defense that GMTM made have failed, or not yet helped

The only guy who looks to for sure be that help is Guhle

And going by the timeline GMTM set...
by trading for ROR, Kane, Bogosian, Gorges & Kulikov...

But we didn’t compete for the playoffs last year, or this year
That’s on GMTM

If & when these guys produce for us in the future, I’ll give him his due

But for now...
Murray’s only “A” grade is picking Eichel,
which anyone would’ve done
Besides that,
we’ve got some average grades & quite a few failing grades
Along with some incompletes

Not sure I saw this awesome performance from Nelson. He didn’t suck is how I remember it.

It’s all about the value for me.

I have 0 doubts Sam will score 20g-40p going forward in his career.

If you’re making a lateral move in a trade, do it because you need speed.

Or do it because you can get someone unproven with a higher ceiling

- sbroads24

You're going to get killed in the long run if that's your strategy.

I'd rather have $5 in my hand then $10 in scratch offs. Sure, it's possible I could win $1000 a week for life, but infinitely more likely I just wasted $2.

Homie thinks Mittelstadt will play wing
If that’s so...
Asplund, Rodrigues, or possibly bring someone in would seem to be our options for 3C
Or give Reinhart another shot with some better wingers

- jdfitz77

Unless he's amazing at center right away he will play wing for a year or 2 to get settled. It's very rare that a player comes in and right away plays center at a high level.

Even some very good to great players started on the wing.

But $5 isn’t rare.

We can find $5 for a 2nd rounder.

Benoit Pouliot cost 1 mil in free agency and is as good as Sam Reinhart. He’s just older

I’m not following. If you’re saying Campbell didn’t suck when he first got started I don’t know what to tell you. He was terrible when he’d come up and play for the Sabres.

Rochester was only really good because they had legit NHL talent on the team. There is no Vanek, Pominville, Miller, Roy, or hell, even Gaustad was pretty damn good that year, on the Amerks. All those guys would've been starters/full timers had their been an NHL season. Pominville was the only one who played "significant" time in Rochester in 05-06 and he played in 18 games for the Amerks and 58 for the Sabres.

Aw, our illustrious GM played his final game that year. Sad.

Those D-men give me cold sweats though.

Sabres need a rather significant infusion of skilled players on both sides.

I mentioned it before, but having had the benefit of watching the Lightning game and Sabres game back to back was a huge eye opener, like wTching an ECHL game after watching game 7 in the NHL Finals.

They currently have a bunch of slow banger-ball guys playing who can’t pass to save their lives.

They are not close, miles away.

Check out the Amerks of the late 90’s. Once and it could be a coincidence. Twice maybe not so much.

N-E-L-S-O-N. He just didn’t suck...no where near awesome, as you stated.
