No, just generally speaking.
- Wetbandit1

My entire point is that opportunity is the biggest factor that seperates the reputation of guys like O’Reilly vs. Perrault.

Perrault IMO could step into Oreilly’s role and do just fine

Perrault vs ROR - offensively

Who ya got

- sbroads24

Why just offensively?
This started when i said,
“Just don’t tell me you’re replacing ROR with Perrault”

To which u said,
“Why? Perrault is excellent”

Still haven’t seen how he’s excellent

When a guy is good on line 3,
it doesn’t mean he will be as effective on line 2

And you used pts/60 to show that

To which i posted a bunch or pts/60 stats that don’t reasonable hold up whatsoever to show how that stat is obviously flawed

And shots per 60. And there are others

Using basic points is unfair to someone playing 10 less shifts a game

I'm not talking about those two. Just that generally comparing a guy who plays a ton to a guy who doesn't play a lot the guy who plays less generally comes out on top. When you're making a comparison, obviously John Scott and Sidney Crosby don't compare no matter how you cut it.

Except perhaps all-star game MVPs?

Not you.
The other smartest guy here.
You have taken me and many others to the school of stubbornness and bashed our heads into the wall though. I will give you that.

Well when Lehner is out of the league in 2 years, you can say i told u so
And I’ll admit you were right

Even buy u a shot & a beer if u come into the bar

Heck,
I’d even do that now

I don’t take any of these arguments that seriously

Who ever said that stat ranks players in exact order?

You’re an insane person.

It’s a piece to the puzzle.

I have 10 stats that show Perrault is superior offensively.

You have 1. His point totals

- sbroads24

You’re the only one saying “offensively”
Maybe u don’t realize that though for some reason?

And even if that were the argument...
I’ve posted other stuff that factors in

If Franson had more ice time, he'd be better than Risto

There’s outliers to every stat.

Like Sean Couturier having 26 goals this year. Why is he all the sudden scoring? Did he just wake up and learn how to bury goals? Or is he just getting a bigger role this season ?

I don’t take it seriously

And my inbox is full of randoms thanking me for saying what they’re thinking so they don’t have to have the argument themselves

He's been like this over the last 6 or 7 games. Almost looks like a #2 out there

he's definitely a better player than what he showed during the first half of the season.
