I have been watching and playing hockey for 25 years and I have never seen someone even come close to reacting that way with his elbow, not only is he a piece of garbage on the ice but he also is lying on national TV. He should get 6 games.

I mean he already has 5 suspensions on the books, and id bet hes got twice as many total at a minimum. I feel like at some point (probably sooner rather than later) some enforcer is gonna come along looking for payback and absolutely cripple this man. If it wasn't for Chara/Mcquaid being there I think it would have already happened.

NESN is brutal. Fenway group owns a majority, the Red Sox broadcasts are worse. Eckersly has been reprimanded several times for being "too critical". He also was center of controversy because David Price is a female genitalia.

The broadcasters are not allowed to call the game like it is. Which is why Edwards says things like "intentionally wide" when a Bruins shot was 30 feet away from the net. Dennis Seidenberg and his brutally inaccurate shot had this call several times a game. Its awful. However still better than the national broadcast that sucks Chicago's Richard like it going to shoot the truth out.

Just saw the replay. Clearly an intentional elbow. No axe to grind on either team so I’m trying to be objective. This is the reason they need to get rid of the instigator rule. Could you imagine what Scott Stevens would have done to Marchand for that hit? Marchand is such a great little spark plug for the B’s, but he just never learns.

This is where NHL bias comes into play. Marchand is a repeat offender, many predatory acts, suspended multiple times but he's a superstar so will get the absolute minimum.

If that was Rinaldo, Matt Cooke, Raffi Torres then he'd likely at this point be looking at 1/2 a season.

2-3 games doesn't send a message to these types of plays. League needs to be harsh and set a precedent.

The sad part is that it will likely only be 4 or 5 games. Should be 10 - 12 games

It's all a part of his shtick. He plays on the edge and is effective because of it, he doesn't have the raw talent. I think if he didn't play like he does (the dirty stuff, I mean) then he's not getting all those goals. He'll take the suspensions, but he's not gonna change. I don't think his coach would want him to either.

Just a workin' fool. Enjoying Boston's play this season. Fun team to watch. No more boring stalemates and losing 1-0 or 2-1 games.

What I like most, is that they dont relent for the most part. The past few years it has been frustrating to watch them throw lead after lead away in the third period. Now they take leads and hold them. Always nice when you team averages more than 1-2 goals per game.
