Every second game, Babcock says the Leafs didn't have enough effort. Again, playing for the last place Arizona Coyotes is hard to get motivated to do. Didn't see much effort from the Leafs when they were in last a couple years ago. Kessel put hot dog vendors' kids through college, he still plays well enough in a specific role.

hawks clearly got the upside in the deal.

but i'd be surprised if has an impact this year. might find his scoring ways in a year or 2.

for me, i'm glad the leafs stayed away. would have been a downgrade this year, even if he has some long-term upside.

Ya..well their going to need some players lock in at reasonable contracts and at 3 that would be decent amount imo
