If the Leafs go on a tear and win most of their games between now and the TDL, then I won't complain if they keep all their pending UFA's. If they play a dominant game that could translate well to the playoffs and give them a legit shot at beating any team, sure, keep them all and go for it. Right now at least, that doesn't look likely. Which is why I ( and I am assuming UG) am saying what I am.

You can't predict the future either. You have no better idea of what they will do in the second half of the season and the playoffs than we do.
