Preds would welcome the addition of a 35 goal scorer like Pacioretty. Last year they had James Neil. They need to match TB's firepower. This could be Nashville's year. They should not let it slip away. winning a Stanley Cup is worth the risk! - Champ
Nashville does have a very talented team and are certainly a cup contender. I dont think they touch patches though as patches and subban never did see eye to eye. It was easy to see when both were in montreal that in interviews patches didn't have time for subbans self absorbed flamboyant behaviour. And subban also made comments directed towards patches and did little things to irritate him. Also there was a lot of tension from subban as he thought that he should be captain and felt slighted. Although anyone from the outside would clearly see that patches was a class act, better leader, team player and captain. I don't see them potentially creating drama in the locker room at tgis time of year. |

I'm sure the Predators would pass up an opportunity to add a goal-scorer to their roster solely because he may or may not "have seen eye-to-eye" with one other player. |

I think you get a little more for simmonds as he's a truly dynamic player but patches isnt a bad catch either and would be a welcome addition to a number of teams. I think you get a late 1st round pick and a decent prospect for both. For simmonds you might get that extra 3rd round pick or another ok prospect with some potential. Of course you never know what happens with deadline trades when desperation sets in. - Chardcore709
Plus patches has proven to be a playoff flop up to this point in his career. |

There is no may or may not have seen eye to eye just read the articles or watch the after game interviews. And for you to say a few extra goals are better then a focused and happy locker room with team chemistry shows you've never been part of a succesful team. It can possibly work but when a team has respect for eachother they will do anything for there teammates on the ice. Locker room drama causes a lot of headaches and effects a teams overall chemistry. That's a big reason players evander kane and pk subban get traded in the first place. Some people can change and grow up as seguin did and change. |

I like how you lumped the two black players in together, despite the fact that their situations with the teams that traded them were entirely different. |

Yeah unfortunately that has nothing to do with that but im glad you tried to take it there. They just both have long grocery lists of problems with there teams and teammates and social media. Go read a few articles if you dont know about them. I always use pk as my example because I know a lot about him as a leafs fan I pay attention to anything montreal. And I've met pk in person and got to see it first hand. And this blog is about kane so its an obvious go to. Maybe you can enlighten me on the reasons they were dealth in your opinion. Also curious why you failed to mention how in this same blog I was also stating how great a player wayne simmonds is? Grow up man, stop trying to play a race card! |

Also you seem to have missed the total point of my write up on locker room chemistry which is what were talking about here. Instead your trying to make a non relevent point because I happen to mention the player this blog is about in kane and the player we are currently talking about in subban that could be a problem in a patches trade to nashville. You can look at the top 15 teammates that hated eachother article and subban and patches are number 6. Similar of course to Riberio and Koivu in montreal which is why ribeiro didnt stay part of the team. Ribeiro also had issues with Ryder and a big reason he left the franchise. Most players with class will never say they feuded while still playing as its unprofessional to do so generally. If you think a few extra goals is better then a united locker room with chemistry your aloud to have that opinion. But because I don't share that same view and make good points and reference two players that are related to this article you try to bring colour into this? Grow up man it has notging to do with it as I mentioned in my last post!
