When Wpg traded Kaner, he opted for shoulder surgery at that time and did not play for Buffalo the rest of the year. I am sure that won't happen this time. He works hard every shift, gritty and fans will luv his energy in his new digs. - CharlieDog
And Buffalo was fine with it, We didn't want anything messing up are descend to the bottom for the Lottery pick. |

Kings won't trade Martinez - they will trade Muzzin before Martinez - paulozz
They're equally important to the team. Martinez is better at defending, but he's a Corsi nightmare and spends an awful lot of time in the defensive zone. Muzzin is better at moving the puck. He's much better on the power play and always has one of the top Corsi ratings on the team. The Kings are sorely lacking in puck moving defensemen, having only Doughty, Muzzin, and LaDue on the roster, the latter being an unproven but promising offensive defensemen with little professional experience (he has yet to get into a game this season). They have an abundance of defensive defensemen, with Martinez, Forbort, Gravel, and Folin all available to step in when needed.
So unless Muzzin has a significantly higher trade value, I think Martinez would be the defenseman Blake prefers to trade. He's certainly more expendable right now.
All that being said, I don't think Blake trades either one for a rental. |

Any smart GM wouldn't want Kane even for free.
But if that's the price for Patches I'd like to see the Pens get him. - ab1

Did Paccioretty and Subban get along in Montreal? Thought I remembered there was some friction. Cold be wrong |

I wouldn't object to a deal for Kane involving Martinez, we would also have to clear a winger out to have a slot, so maybe Brodz... but I like this idea because we shed Martinez's 4. something salary, and if we don't resign Kane then we have room to swing another move once he is out. it's a bit of a gamble but I think it would work

I think Muzz has more value for some reason, don't be shocked if Martinez is on the block - MikeOxbyg
Only if you count the times he's bound to injure someone when he constantly shoots at their ankles otherwise he's pretty meh. |

Trading AMart would be silly... I'd rather give up Muzzin than AMart. |

I think any deal with the Kings would involve K. Clague and a #1 pick. |

Not happening. Clague is what will make Muzzin and or Amart a trade piece. |

Difference between Patch and Simms is Simms plays like man and Patches is like a woman. Who would you want in a grueling playoff battle?
Mind you I hate both teams and players.
You're welcome. |

The Kings will not be trading Vilardi, Clague, or their #1 pick this year, especially not for a rental. So if that's the asking price, Kane is not coming to LA. |

The Kings wouldn't trade anything of value for Pacioretty.
Kane is at least a Kings-style player. Patches is not. |
