I just watched Silence this weekend...certainly an interesting film. I have always been fascinated by all the horrible things people have done to each other throughout time in the name of "God(s)"

That's a fair point but that's the way the Flyers are going to handle young players. I agree with them.

and I'm sure if the "flyers" said the world was flat you would agree with that too.

This can all be boiled down to Sanheim being a round earth shill and Hak exposing him.

depends on your preference

Scorsese film...nearly 3 hours long and it is about Catholic missionaries in Japan when it was outlawed.

I enjoyed the movie and all the meaning/symbolism/etc, but it is by no means a thriller

I really tried to watch his movie twice and fell asleep both times. Side note, I dislike Andrew Garfield.

Would anyone be interested in E.Kane if buffalo took back Weiss? What would it cost? Stl 1, Conditional 2nd, Wade Allison, and Weiss.

Giroux-Couturier-Konecny

I dont know.... I just think I like the idea of adding some "now" pieces to the team that can help balance the scoring. I also like the idea of putting Patrick with a very good playmaker and a good sniping winger that has grit. IMO Patrick just seems a fraction of a second behind a play or a fraction of a distance from making the right pass/shot. With time it should come, but adding guys like Voracek and Kane to his line would be awesome.

Spotlight is a really good movie if you're into religious conspiracies.

Yeah that was good...Silence isn't about conspiracy. It is more about a missionary's faith being tested

I think he has calmed down recently, no? I can't remember the last issue he had. And if that lowers the price on him, so be it.

the real question..

Was SanHeim doing so well in LHV he earned a shot? I think based upon the 2nd half of last season the answer is yes.

the next question-

does he need to play at the NHL speed to go to the next level? or will the AHL challenge him enough?

I know he needs playing time and under the current circumstance he had to go down.

I am not interested in basically any deal that trades away a player or asset younger than Coots for a player older than Coots

I think Kane has grown up recently. I think he fits what the Flyers need, he will not be traded for a bag of pucks aka Weise.

recently he said he wanted to stay in Buffalo but no contract was offered.

get the right package, make the trade, he is only 26 but I dont think the right package well be there.

I would rather keep Allison, but if you swapped him out with another pick or prospect I would have interest. Pretty stacked top 9 and the guy can score. But always have to consider his locker room antics / off ice issues. Perhaps he has matured but who knows.

Edit: if we get Kane I think that automatically means we can’t resign Simmer
