Again with this troll business... What is wrong with you. Aren't all ranger fans welcome on this board?

When the fanbase is beyond over the broken record rhetoric coming out of AV's mouth it stands to reason that he doesn't have anything new to offer the players either. If he's out of ideas or ways to engage and inspire the team, it's time for him to go. He isn't exactly a master strategist coach in the first place which compounds the urgency.

The effort has been there. In Col. and LA. NYR just can't put puck in net. PK will work itself out, but fact is there isn't enough talent.

"Playing the right way" will help, but the fact that we don't have enough consistent scorers is the problem.

- rrentz

Had some good chances, just couldn't put the puck in.
Consistent scoring would certainly help, but allowing less than 30 shots against a game would also help. Hank is getting shelled out there.

I don't think they are going to fire him, when you consider....

he has an extension...

the guy who would fire him labeled this season a "rebuild on the fly"...

there have been a million injuries...

if they listen to the fanbase they'd do a lot of stupid poop...

I think he'll get another year no matter what, unless there is some major difference in philosophy or player revolt

Correct on all accounts, you sound like PeteV, also still in the playoff hunt.
Next season if the team is doing the same poop AV should be canned.

I completely agree with you on all points. As an owner I would be having concerns and conversations with him though to gauge whether or not he is out of ideas.

It's one thing to come up short. It's another thing entirely to point to something, label it a focus, and repeatedly come up short because you cannot move the needle on that element.

If defense is the problem and the focus, you might lose the next game but you shouldn't be giving up more quality scoring chances than you did the game before.

that is the biggest gripe you can have with AV and his system this year, the team being worst in attempts against this year and you can't defend it no matter what

AV aside, what impact has Lindy Ruff had this season? If defense is his forte' one has to wonder why he has not been able to have much of an influence

Agreed, can't see them firing AV this season. But I do think they really have to listen to offers for McD, and Nash. Grabner is going to be really tricky with his upcoming contract, I don't know which way they will go on that. But the bottom line is they have to get some more top-end talent in here, they really just don't have it. They could get some good young prospects by trading those guys.

Rangers lose 6-1. Hank pulls himself and the lone Ranger goal belongs to Zucc. AV responds to questions after the game by chewing his gum differently and not actually speaking.

what AV should have done all season is told everyone after every game that Shattenkirk was playing with a torn meniscus, actually pointed to the knee that was hurting him so every team could purposely try to exploit it even more everytime they played the Rangers

Just heard a rumor of Nylander (Tor) for McD

I think NYR would want a pick as well ...no?

Much harder to replace McD (even though he's playing crappy) than it would for Tor. to replace Nylander.

Tor. in desperate need for Dman

or possibly send him to surgery when he started to play like a nervous rookie...
would've saved us from all those 'Shatty with 0 goals last 26 games' posts

imagine Gorton fires AV because AV didn't send Shattenkirk into the operating room

Rangers lose 6-1. The rest of the defensive core gets hurt. The Rangers offer Matt Gilroy and Bobby Spaghetti one year deals to come back to the Rangers Both turn deals citing their desire to play in the Olympics instead. Call into Darius Kasparitis to see what he's doing with himself these days.

There's a good amount of talent that if we can get 1 or 2 more 1st's in ucoming draft we can really put a dent in the rebuild, I like Wahlstrom(lottery pick) Lundstrom, Bokk, Thomas, Kaut
- KreiderBomb

I'm very much an Akil Thomas fan. Leading his team in scoring in Niagra. He and Evan Bocuhard on top of my list where the Rangers currently stand.
