Marleau-Kadri-Marner
JVR-Bozak-Brown
Komarov-Moore-Kapanen

Notice Komarov and Kadri are not on the same line

Chuck Fletcher's ass is on the hot seat. You'd have to imagine if they keep middling out they'll look for a shakeup. Lots of decent prospects/young players.

There is a close-to-desperate need for a top-4 RHD.. To remove the Polak
- PatC80

Not really... Dermott has earned his spot, I don’t think he’s doing back down. Once Zaitsev and Rielly are back, Polak will likely be back to rotation duties.

Rielly Zaitsev
Gardiner Hunwick
Dermott Polak/Carrick/Borgman

I think Carrick and Borgman both deserve to play over Polak, but it’s possible Babcock has different ideas.

borgman's turnovers were a real problem against the av's. and it's starting to become a trend.

Rielly and Zaitsev didn't really work last year. I think he stays with Gardiner

Rielly - Hainsey
Gardiner - Zaitsev
Dermott - Please, anyone but Polak

Borgman has looked like hes been tired out lately, rightfully so the highest amount of games he has played in a season is 50. Most seasons he hovered around 40.

I definitively think he is an NHL player, but he probably would benefit from going to the Marlies at the TDL, dominated there, and play for the Calder cup.

OMG. You just know I'm gonna troll the poop out of this board when these lines don't change the Leafs' fortunes.

I actually really like the Kadri line. Play Marner with two defensively responsible players, but also.....are both goal scorers.

Honestly, the Leafs aren’t a cup contender yet, and springing for a defence rental for hope isn’t the best idea long term. Just go with what we have. I don’t think Borgman has been bad enough to warrant going down... and playing with Dermott could be good for him.

Yeah I love the top 6.

We ain't getting anything offensively from that bottom 6 though. (Not unlike at the moment to be fair).

You never know, JVR and Bozak may flourish without Marner.

The Leafs have a chance this year, they are not a favorite by any means, however trading a pick here and there to improve the team makes a lot of sense.

Its hockey, anything can happen in the playoffs. You guys need to stop being typical Leaf fans. TB can easily be knocked out in the first round. The faveorites get knocked out early all the time. And teams like OTT and Nashville go on crazy runs out of no where.

You just got to stop acting like you know what will happen in the playoffs, it happens every year and its hillarious.

I loved when all we were hearing before the playoffs was "no one is beating Washington this year"

now its "no one is beating Tampa Bay this year"

They have flourished with Brown

I may have read it wrong but I thought I saw JVR had 80% corsi last night. Even if you arent a fan of the stat that is pretty damn good.

I saw someone suggest Brassard as a trade target. the more I think about it i like it

Brassard has 5 mil cap hit for next season. Trade The sens a Prospect (Gauthier, Leivo etc..) plus whatever maybe they throw in a short cap dump.

Then trade Bozak for basically the same return.

Leafs get another 3 C locked up for 5 mil for 1 season

Tampa will be matched up against a really good Metro team first round, no matter who they end up playing. So anything is most certainly possible!

My trade proposal:

To Ottawa: Bozak, Bracco, Kapanen, Leafs’ 2018 1st round pick.

To Leafs: Karlsson

And in a totally unrelated move, Bell signs stooopid contract for naming rights to new Ottawa LeBreton Flats arena.

Leafs should keep Kapanen and throw in Gauthier and Leivo instead
