I’ll stand up and say I was one of the most vocal in critiquing Jack’s play.
And for the 1,000th time, it was NEVER on his OFFENSIVE game, but his complete lack of effort on the DEFENSIVE side of the game...and his pursuit of the puck when he lost it rather than stopping, look8n* up to the rafters and rolling his eyes.

But, YOU and a couple others just can’t seem to understand that. Go leRn to read with comprehension, the stop re-writtiing the narrative.

Jack’s play has improved emmensly on the D side, which contributes to his offensive production.

Lastly, Jack started to take more shots himself rather than being almost exclusively a set-up man.

A lot of the offensively talented guys struggle with this early on in their careers. They didn't need to play on the Dside at all in Jr's and prob not much at all in NCAA either. I said the same as you though. Its got to improve if we are going to move forward with the plan. Everyone has got to commit to playing defense or no goalie or defensemen will survive and we will never be a competitive team

But the know-it-all’s focus solely on Goals and Assists to judge a player like Jack.

It's the primary reason some of the best (offensive) players in the league are on losing teams that will never win a cup. I could start a list but I don't think it's necessary. We are all well versed here

Kane's value is some how UP. even though he has been completely non existent the past dozen or so games. You think: Scouts dont want to see players play well (CURRENTLY), they don't look back and say, wow kane was good for 30 games early in the season. Scouts are looking for results, not upside.
