I think they go hand in hand.
You (we all) want to get this stockpile of assets back for him but he is what he is.
I cant see a team giving up that much for him as a rental.
I also cant see a team wanting to sign him for anything close to 7x7.
Something has to give and i think all things considered a good prospect is more than enough and i wouldnt be dissappointed.

Fair
But GMs overpay at the deadline and overpay for UFAs all the time

And when they’re acquiring a player...
it’s generally bc they’re in love with their skill set (and over look their flaws)

Kane’s skill set is pretty easy to get excited about

So while I’d just be guessing as to what the trade market will bear for him...
i do feel confident that many teams are interested
And that SHOULD lead to a pretty good return
If everything lines up right...
Possibly a great one

Fingers crossed

U mean goal less? No, I wasn’t ripping him. When you get the rep of being an early riser, u can sleep til noon and Sid is one of the best ever.
- Hatboro_Swords

Of course...
but Eichel is a puppy on a team that sucks

Thinking he won’t have his struggles is crazy

My issue (with you in this case, but just about everyone here in general) is how dramatically overblown it all gets

“Take offers on Jack”
“Risto is barely a top4 defenseman”
“Lehner will be out of the league in 2yrs”
And on & and on & on

Jack is gonna struggle here & there
He’s still a heck of a talent, and a really good player...
trying to become a great one
That doesn’t always happen right away

I said lehner is horrible, i told you why, then i said it wouldnt surprise me "if" he is out of the league in two years.
I will stand by that as well.
Sure as s h i t he will not be a starting goaltender in the nhl.

Speed, Scoring, Physical Play, Good forechecking, good PK guy...

Does he have his flaws?
Of course

But all of the above is very desirable
And more than enough for many to overlook those flaws

Otherwise...
explain why all these teams are calling?

Very few perfect players out there

3 goals empty netters
6 pp points

during that stretch

kane has nothing to do with that, which is almost half his points in the 15 games

5 on 5, with a goalie in the net, his production is still pretty much the same as it was with kane on his wing

You’re was just one of dozens of comments where the hate goes too far

Wasn’t trying to single u out

Lehner is a decent goaltender who really needs to figure out his body control

I wanna move on too...
but he doesn’t suck as bad as u made it sound either

I’m basically just talking about all the overreacting on here anyways
It’s pretty bad

the team was getting nothing on the pp early in the year, and of course no empty netters

jack is dominating the line now, with scrubs

before it was the jack and kane show

I am not surprised he is scoring more goals with kane off his line, but his production is pretty much the same, even strength and a goalie on the ice for the other team

I would not be shocked if Lehner goes overseas in a year or 2

Sure teams are calling. Mike weber got calls and a 3rd. Doesnt make him good.
You keep saying scoring... I just broke that down. Is he anemic? No. Is he a scorer? You seem to think so.
Expexted <20 goals per year and <39 points per year. It is what it is.

Gerbe’s point...
which he didn’t articulate that well,
but is a solid point none the less...

is basically that Jack will have the puck on his stick more without Kane, bc Kane LOVES to shoot so much

That makes sense

So who thinks it’s a bad idea for Jack to have the puck more?

Not me

Watch him play!!!!!
Forget stats and watching scoring plays that make him look bad.
He is so positionally (geographically and body wise) terrible you have to be able to see it.
It sounds like you were singling me out though. Im the one who made that exact comment. Not anyone else. Just now someone else agreed with it. It is more than valid.

Don’t compare him to Weber

Kane is the TOP GUY available

goals going in instead of CLANK

12 points in his last 15 games that were not on pp or empty netters

13 points in his first 15 games with kane, that were not on pp or empty netters
