Agreed 100%, but much easier said than done. How do you accomplish that tall task with such under-performing players? - EnzoD
Just get the money off the books even if it means getting little or nothing in return. Even if that's all we get we would be in a better position to retool and upgrade. Tired of the sacred cow monikers these guys get; OMG teams readjust all the time, look at the Patriots they flush star players all the time while remaining relevant year after year. Time to stop worrying about the PR machine. Toews and Seabs are pretty much 3rd line players making top top money. This is no longer acceptable for a team who wants to move forward....and we have them for the next 5 years at that price! Can you imagine them in 3 years? If you think they suck know just wait 3 years. Q needs to go as well as a fire needs to be light under these guys because for a long time now there has been little fire (except the youth, CC and Kane)... And Mr Toews has no business being on the 1st line or on the PP, can someone put their big boys pants on and make some difficult but real decisions that will help this team not only now but for the future as well. |

a pro's pro...high class all the way....yes they miss him alot...no matter his offensive struggles and decline he played a 200 foot...his back checking is legendary for a player of his caliber...
never female doged...never whined...walked away from all the asshatery on the ice...
i am sure he misses the game and the game sure misses him

One of the most physical forwards too. Not in terms of hitting or after the whistle crap but of out muscling opponents night in and night out. Out muscling to keep pucks and out muscling to take pucks. Plus a powerful skater who could separate quickly. Everything you want from a power forward in Q's system.
Anyone who didn't follow Hossa go watch some of his highlights from when he was younger. The man got to the net with the puck like a bull.
Or when he did lay a hit. His hit on Dustin Brown still gives me chills. Brown had a full head of steam and Hossa saw him, turned, braced himself and put Brown on his ass. Pure strength and athleticism at 36.

Beginning to think Hossa was the real leader of this team.
And like them or not, Campbell and Rozsival made a fraction of the mistakes that the young pups do. Hell, Forsling is good for 2-3 terrible turn overs a night. And having to learn in the NHL instead of the AHL. |

Tampa could be up 2 already.
And to think I thought this would be a close game....no more. |

No, Stamkos played only 17 games due to injury. - DarthKane
Heck, that’s more games than Toews played this year! |

You know if you squint that 91 almost looks like 81 and you can pretend Hossa is out there with Saad/Toews. Honestly, I think Duclair looks like the best fit they've had on RW all year for that line. |

Thanks man I missed that
Well hopefully he can learn and get more confident in his game and that can translate to his play on the ice the next time he gets recalled |

Exactly what has he done that makes him better than Hinostroza? |

I think the message has been that the Hawks want him to get consistency in his game. .He is great at times and awful other times. |

He gets involved in the cycle and IMO he has more talent than Hinostroza. |

Watching the Tampa feed as it is depressing enough watching the Hawks these days without having all of Foleys 'Death Shoutouts. |

He gave Toews a wide open look in the slot and 19 whiffed. Q has obviously liked Duclair more than any other winger (besides 8+88) since day 1. He got PP1 and a few shifts with 19+20 his first game. That was a really good last shift for the Toews line. |

Kaner double pump fake off the pipe. That would have been another epic highlight for 88 who dominated the Hawks best Powerplay effort since Ottawa. |

Konroyd points out Murphy pinching but how many times is Keith going too get burned on a pinch, already twice, not even close. |

Dude needs to learn his own strength though... he kept 2 clears in but wrapped it all the way around to the other wing where a TB player was standing vs. make a soft area play so his forward could get it. That could be nerves amd trying to play aggressive but also could be hockey IQ. |

No Debrincat on the 5 on 3 ???? He's a great puck handler and a goal scorer. It's no wonder everybody wants Q's head. Can't improve his game or confidence by sitting him in that situation. Let's keep with what's not working....Toews and Sharp.
Absolutely NO development plan for the kid. Sad.
