- Savoy

Tallon gets credit from me for drafting and constructing this team. He also gets credit for screwing up the offer sheets. Just wondering how's he doing in Florida? Yea not so good, no matter the talent if you can't find a coach that talent won't amount to much.
- BetweenTheDots

Who did that?? You better do some more research. Tallon might have been the GM at the time so it falls back on him, but that duty is delegated by most clubs in the league to a certain title in the organization known as the assistant GM. Look that one up.

Actually Tallon had Florida right on track until the owner made a HORRID move bringing in Tom Rowe

Rowe cost them Gallant too

Horrid moves made by Rowe set them back

And FLA young talent is much better than the Hawks young talent

3 Cups for the Hawks = 3 Cups for the Pens...I'm not good at math but I believe the difference is zero.

Bettman's love child Crosby!
Honestly, Chicago never got a lottery fixed for them.

This Hawks' demise blog has more comments than every other HB blog combined.
- EnzoD

Not even close
Sabres + Flyers + (both) Leafs + Habs is way more.
But we are the single most commented blog, thats true..

We'll see where these teams are once the new CBA is negotiated. So nothing is Tallons fault

Have to say you guys have a short memory, remember the Campbell contract or Huet. OMG he signed Bolland for 5 years at $5 mil, when Bolland career was over

Since 2010 they've had a 1st overall, a 2nd overall, two 3rd overalls, an 11 and a 10 while the Hawks have drafted no higher than 18...so yes, I believe you're correct.

Or Kadri from Toronto. He plays with an edge and can finish as well.
- EnzoD

Come on Enzo, you really are reaching. First it was Kreider and he's out long term with a serious blood clot issue. Now its Kadri - he's got 1G and 1A since the beginning of December. That's not finishing in my books. And before you come up with Ryan Nugent Hopkins - he's out 6 weeks with broken ribs.

There's no single trade that's a quick fix for the Hawks. The players on the ice need to play better every night, all 19 of them.

Campbell I could forgive to a certain extent as Tallon had to make it attractive for Soupy to come to a franchise trying to shed it's long and deserved poopty rep for treatment of players among other things.

But having $11M tied up in two goalies when you could only play one on a given night was a stroke of genius.

At least we have 3 Cups to show for it. Just think Blackhawks, Kings, Penguins have win 8 out of the last 9 SC's, if this is the price of success then so be it.

Vermette - 3 GWG's in the playoffs
Dezi - Formed part of a solid 4th line

He actually gave up 2 second rounders but your comment is comparable to complaining about the taxes after winning Powerball.

the was 2 2nds for a 40 year old who had not played in a year and had a NTC clause and $850k games played bonus. that was a Joke.

Eliot friedman in 30 thoughts mentions Q could be in trouble.

Vomit was actually terrible here before Playoffs & benched

Few lucky breaks for goals & SB looks like a hero

Still waiting for Ladd Weise Fleischman to make a difference Oh wait.........

Just tired of Q taking all the heat

The Bowmans are a bigger problem than Q

The contracts with all the NTC are a joke & have this team in a terrible spot
