That is crazy to me given how last season went for them.

They were both terrible and unlucky. I still can't believe what they got for Duchene |

Who knows when the (frank) he will be back too - YuenglingJagr
i would assume, should they make the playoffs, he would be made available. still a long way to go here, injuries are likely, and that's what i think will get him recalled rather than a strong stint in the A and/or manning being misplaced due to his play, regardless of his performance. |

Devils lose and islanders losing. Man the rest of the division seems to be taking a nose dive while the Flyers win. If we keep playing well we could get into a high seed.

look at the bruins. they've missed the playoffs for a little while now, many thought they were a bubble team, and they're tearing it the (frank) up. |

Man that's a risky move not sure if I'd be on board but it would be interesting to see for sure. If they make any moves I want to see them add some scoring, not sure who is really available that would be worth making a move for on the scoring front though. If they can acquire someone to play with Jake instead of Filppulla, they are gonna be really dangerous up front especially if Patrick keeps improving. - FreshFlyer

yeah good score board last few days, with the Eagles and Flyers could be the best day for Philly fans since 2008
The Flyers are hot now, they will slump again, there are 30 games left, all teams do, waiting for the Bruins too...
i said a few weeks ago, I think this is the real Devils team, that is good news if it holds, I can see them missing the playoffs |

Agreed. In terms of raw production, absolutely. How they get their points is a bit different, but honestly, raw production is what matters most.
Karlsson does a lot more for his club than Ghost, but Karlson is going to cost so much to resign, and probably won't be worth it the last 3-5 years of the deal.
If we trade a dman, I think A. it will be around the new expansion draft B. For an established goal scoring forward. |

agree, between the cost and upside you stay the course, not to mention we have good D prospects and the draft is full of good D prospects AGAIN.
yes they need that power forward who can snipe... if you can get a vet D and possibly trade Manning or McD, not saying they are terrible but if you upgrade one of them, it would be a good thing, then add scoring winger, it would a super early xmas |

I said this earlier, and understandable caught some flak for it, but at this stage, I don't know if the Flyers make the playoffs this year. I want them to for sure, but they have a few teams chasing them that have been to the postseason a lot the last 5 years. Those teams know how to bear down. I'm going to wait until they've played the next 10 games to see where they are in the standings.
Upgrade would be nice, but I would stand pat at this year's TDL.

100% agreed. You typically don't see that type of deal at the deadline. If it's there, go for it.
Changing gears slightly, I have no idea what I would do with Simmonds. It's such a hard decision. If they don't make the playoffs this season, they will make the playoffs next season, and he would be valuable to them during that run. But, if you have already decided to let him go, then you need to move him this summer.
Earlier this season, I was all on board for signing him, but the more I have thought about it the more I question it. |

If I’m Hexy around the TDL, I’m listening to offers on Filp, Amac, Manning, Gudas, and would start the engine fof the Wayne Train. Filp should be traded no matter what (imo). If someone offers anything for Amac or Manning, take it. If we are out of playoffs, Gudas and Simmonds.

heart and soul guy for sure, it would have to be an overwhelming offer. Simmonds needs to get a real good contract but I think he will give the Flyers a hometown discount, he does you have to resign him
another note, they could lose to the Wings tonight, the sky will not be falling, just that close of a league |
