In an ideal world , I'd love to see them get a center who is an upgrade on Filppula to play with Voracek but I just don't know who it would be and if the price would even be worth it over the minimal upgrade it might be.

tbh if Patrick's strong play continues I think he should earn a promotion to the Raffl/Jake unit.

Much ado about nothing. The Flyers have plenty of cap space to work with and they need to have a 7th defenseman on the roster. Sending Sanheim down and calling up Alt actually saves the Flyers cap space.

I feel like he's going to go down and dominate the AHL. Then everyone is going to say that being sent down was the right thing to do for his development. 'He needed to go down to regain his confidence'. BS.

The kid has proven he can play at the AHL level, there is nothing more to learn down there that he can't work on up here. Kid can play.

While its nice to think about as a pipe dream long term effects would be crippling. in 2-3 years money will need to be spent on TK, Provy, Patrick a long with a few others. I'd rather bank that between Vech's Rubstov or Frost can crack the ranks as a solid center.

I trust Hexy knows what is best for this kid and if it were hurting him he'd send him down.
