Its always easy to say a coach is crappy or blame the coach. The most losing coach in history, the best coach never to win the big one, yada, yada. Its no different in any sport, whether its Manitoba Superleague softball for young women or in the NHL, it is the easiest thing to say the coach did not do it right, did not get it right, is crappy, didn't treat my kid or my favourite player right, yada, yada, yada.
Just like Phil Mickelson was the best pro golfer to not win a major. That's all the f-------g announcers could focus on for years........ until he won. How many Majors does he have now? 5 I think with 3 Masters. But, he was, for the longest time, the best pro golfer that never won the big one. With that, I hope Maurice can one day silence all the naysayers by ramming a cup down all his critics throats! - CharlieDog
Yes. I’m sure the critics will be silenced after 20 seasons of failure and bad coaching because he managed to win a cup with one of the most talented rosters ever assembled in the salary cap era. |

Dano was in the NHL at 16? Weird.
All jabs aside, there is literally endless evidence showing Dano has never been any worse than an elite 3rd liner at any point in his NHL career so far. |

Watching this game I can't help but think,
Enstrom and Dano are no where near as good as Rexy thinks and Hendricks and Myers are no where near as good as jetsnation thinks. But it's sure hard not to get over excited about Raslovic!! |

Dano and Roslovic have been creating chances left right and center. Unfortunately, Hendricks keeps losing puck battles (or just not getting to them altogether). Enstrom has been all over the Canuck forwards. I did watch Myers give the puck away about 8 times tonight, so at least he’s distributing it well. |

I'm not going to bother with Hendricks because the intangibles he brings are immeasurable. As for Myers. The Jets PP and PK were just about dead last in the 2016-17 season. This year they are both near the top of the league. Myers is a big big reason for this. On the PK you can add Hendricks to that equations. Furthermore Myers leads the Jets D in +/- with plus 9. His Corsi's are all above 50% , and I believe he leads the Jets D in points. I'd call that a very good season for him and a big part of the reason for the Jets success.
...and giveaways against the Canucks. I bet when the stats come out at game end he will have ZERO giveways. Total lie by Wrong -way Rexy.

4th line looked good, to the point where one thinks there is some chemistry starting. Buf and Enstrom had a good game, almost didn't, t notice them at all which is a compliment. Buf played a nice controlled defensive game and made good choices. That's all he has to do.
Perreault was amazing, same with Wheeler. Laine goal was due to Wheelers hard work,go Jets! Edit, Ehlers is just plain awesome! |

Nice controlled game. Their goalie played very good and so was Helle. What can you say about Helle? Wow, we have a goalie here, the goalie has arrived. He should have a Patty Roy neck guard after seeing the stick in the mask tho. Thank goodness the organization patiently waited for him.
Confidence in the goalie gives confidence on the team to play patient, very patient, everyone relax, have a coffee. Execute the game plan, patience, good choices, no need for free style (except when Ehlers beats everyone there and everyone back), confidence.

Regardless of what some of you believe. I think the Jets need another center.
I don't understand Maurice. When Perreault got injured and Connor was called up, he became a first line winger. Now when Scheifele and Lowry get injured and Roslovic gets called up, he gets a once in a lifetime chance to play with Hendricks.
Could someone please explain to me why that is?

Buf almost screwed the pooch with about 5 min left in the third. He got caught pinching and caused a 2 on 1. What the hell was he thinking |

He’s usually tracking at a 2nd line rate, but with the low minutes I bumped it down a bit. |

Maurice is dumb and thinks Hendricks helps. Roslovic and Dano are working shockingly well together, but every pass they send out front gets whiffed on or missed altogether because Hendricks isn’t keeping up. |

Buff looks better of late. Sure he may have one of his signature brain cramps from time to time but his experience in the playoffs will be very valuable on this Cup Run for the Jets.
Also that young fella Ross77lovic looks like a keeper. Maurice playing him with Hendricks to show him how to be a good pro and glue guy. |

I might have been in the bathroom on that play as I don’t recall it, but compared to the game before and many many other games this year, Buf played conservative and had good synergy with Enstrom. I thought they played good together last nite.
I didn’t see roque Buf last nite or free style Buf making ill timed pinches last nite. I am just looking for a positive and last nite I thought his pairing did ok.

It's simple protection for the kid. Notice though that he has put him on the first unit PP? He's not forcing him to be all things at once. Is it ideal, no. Is there a better way to get more out of him- yes. Will Maurice adjust from his logic with this- no.

I had no idea a career high of 8 goals and 21 points equals 2nd line player or elite third liner in the NHL.......weird |

Yes Guy!
A&W beef is now free of hormones and analytics so it's perfect for a disciplined eater like Buff Man. |

I think you need to be voted off “comments island” if you think Dano is top 6’ish on a top team. Maybe not in the AHL, never mind the show. These comments are obviously for the enjoyment of the writer as nobody can believe Dano and Enstrom are building blocks. We’ve all been fooled! |

Speaking of Buff has hit anyone this year? One bone crushing hit? Nada nothing it seems?
That is part of his game that is missing, nobody scared out there |

Protection. That is exactly what it is and almost every young player needs protection (from their own insecurities and from fans). They get to find their game while blame is directed at coach and linemates for lack of offensive production. Thick skin is part of being a good coach.
Also helps to teach a defense first attitude - Roslovic will learn another dimension to his game that will benefit his career. |

He did it in 38 games, bud. You’re also forgetting that he’s not going to have a 50 point season at 7 minutes a night. It’s how he’s producing in relation to his ice time that matters. |
