Anyone who thinks this is just coaching is fooling themselves. This is the product of an aging core where ONE guy (88) is playing anywhere near the level expected and the attrition of lost talent.
The run is over. Time to focus on a rebuild. |

It may be more than just coaching, but this is a team that just doesn’t give a crap. I saw that last year and Bowman bristled is at the idea, wonder what he thinks now. |

Here we go again...back to the PK.
Q is sitting Forsling? Yes, this game is all his fault. |

How many of Debrincat, Forsling, Rutta, Schmaltz, hinostroza, Gustaffson, Sharp, Bouma, Oesterle, Duclair, Hartman would be playing big minutes for the legitimate Playoff caliber teams? |

Well said and true.
When the real playing in the NHL starts in January, those defenceman from the one game a week Czech and Swedish leagues are completely overmatched. And it shows. |

As previously posted. ....Jonathan Toews killed the momentum with that totally stupid, lazy, offensive zone penalty while they were dominating the 1st 5 minutes or so.
I really don't know who's worse, the players or the coach. - Hawkytalk
Totally agree. Hawks were up 1-0 and were all over the Islanders in the first couple of minutes just missing on a couple of good chances and then or captain takes a stupid and very obviously penalty to give the Islanders a PP, which they eventually scored on and its been all Islanders ever since. Toews' play the last 2+ seasons has been average at best. That would be fine if he was making 800K as a fourth liner or a couple millions as a solid defensive centerman who wins draws on a third line, but it's completely unacceptable for a guy who is supposed to be your top line center and is making 10.5 million a year. At this point, the Hawks are basically screwed. Crawford won''t be around to cover up all the mistakes and Toews, Seabrook and Keith all look like they've aged 10 years overnight. Nothing Stan does now is going to make up for the lack of contribution you're getting from 3 of your 4 best players. |

Only Schmaltz would get major time. The rest (ADB, Forsling) would be marinating in the minors, Hartman would maybe be a fourth liner and Gus, Sharp, Bouma, Rutta, and Ducliar wouldn't even be on the roster.
Sad state of affairs, but we got 3 Cups out of the deal. |

Ruuta and Forsling, just bad tonight. It's going to take time, honestly with the way Keith/Seabrook/Toews are playing what difference does it make.
Isles are cycling and weaving, one really solid check would disrupt this but not the Hawks, poke poke and some more poke poke poke - BetweenTheDots
Forsling is awful in his own end. He should be sitting. How he is playing over Murphy or even Kempny (neither who have been great) is mystifying, but then again, Q knows what he's doing I guess. |

Absolutely some of the worst hockey I've seen in Chicago since the 2005 era Hawks. This team is putrid. |

I think Hartman is the ideal 3rd liner but otherwise agree. |

What's up with DeBrincat? 1 point (assist) in his past 5 games and his ice time keeps dwindling. |

This team has no passion or sense of urgency. They are playing to get Q fired. His message is no longer being reviewed by the players. |

Anisimov for a 1st or 2nd+prospect.
Keith for 1st + prospect(s).
Saad for Panarin trade-backs.
Seabrook to LTIR for being bad at hockey now.
Wingels for a 3rd.
Sharp for a 3rd.
Murphy for a 1st.

Hartman may make mistakes and it's always consistent, but he gives more effort that most Blackhawks. |
