It would be nice if the Hawks could get some more draft picks. Who do they have that would get them first and second round picks at the TDL?
- tvetter

they have 1, 3, 5, 6, 7...you can bet stan would like to get replenish that 2 and 4 pick...

not sure how...

Keith.

Who would Keith be willing to waive to go to that’s a legitimate contender?

Watching last night's game on the dvr. Forsling and Rutta should get to spend rest of the year at Rockford.
Gustafson to me looks like:
A.) He's spent enough time in the Rock, and;
B.) His neck looks noticeably larger that his last stint in Chicago and his play is even more noticeably physical.

Because neither of those 2 are very good and they could be sent to Rockford as well.

Just my guess right now....he would go to almost any legitimate contender.

I am a fan of Gustafsson, so it is good to hear that his play has improved. If he is willing to play a heavier style of game, all the better.

It seems like the Hawks have a decent amount of C+ to B- players (They are young, so it is to be expected). Really, those players are only going to improve with coaching and playing time. Particularly on defense. The oft-maligned top 8 experiment needs to end. Depth is nice. However, if it comes at the expense of player improvement, then it is not an asset.

Keepers: (by contract or play)
Keith, Seabrook, Oesterle

Choose 2-3: (Bolded my favorites)
Gustafsson, Forsling, Rutta, Murphy, Kempny

There are some decent defensemen on the Rock as well. I just don't know if the Hawks brass is capable of choosing the right players to develop (see: Danault).

i think that's a bit tough to judge at this point; but, seeing how almost no one seemed to develop there while Dent was coaching vs what you've been hearing in regard to Colliton...I think the odds of players developing would seem to have the potential of being better.

Practice lines according to Tracey Myers:

Saad-Toews-Duclair
Sharp-Schmaltz-Kane
DeBrincat-Anisimov-Hartman
Jurco-Kampf-Hinostroza

Soft, soft, soft
There will be 3rd and 4th lines on some teams just salivating to go against that lineup and own the creases at both ends of the ice.

According to Lazerus, Ruuta/Forsling is the 4th D pairing in practice so likely not playing tomorrow.

About time he gets in as he should have been in when Q ran with 7 D and the Hawks resent crap play all started then. By no means am I saying that he is the saviour I just believe the 7 D was a bad decision. If Jurco was crap that night no biggy as the extra D only got 8 minutes.

Atlanta and Jax both showed how brilliantly the "play not to lose" works.

(frank) Brady and Bellicheck. Serial cheaters. Also NFL football is almost as bad as watching the Hawks last 2 games. NCAA football >>>>NFL. Less commercials, more big plays, better rivalries and stadiums. Also, go Buckeyes!

I like college football, but it is as predictable as MLB and NFL at this point.

This doesn't have anything to do with where Brady played in college, does it?

Enjoying watching yout team sink. I mean really enjoying. Not as much as Rinne’s shutouts in Game 1 and 2 but close.

Like I said....who the hell wants to live in Chicago....

- VopatsRash

I totally know what you mean. I really enjoyed watching your team sink against Pittsburgh in the Finals last year. I mean really enjoyed it. Not as much as when we won Stanley Cups in 2010, 2013, and 2015, but close.

This was actually the first NFL game I watched since last year's Super Bowl. I'm a Bear's fan, but I've rooted for the Patriots because of Brady (being a Michigan fan). Go Blue!

I actually enjoyed that in person. I was there when Bettman handed Crosby the Stanley Cup!
