I don't think we do, a player's health is there own personal business. Just because Crawford is somewhat of a public figure that doesn't mean we are entitle to know his personal health information. Should he be sharing his income tax return too? - DarthKane
Not asking for a diagnosis, just a time line - not a Hippa covered item. |

The only reasonable explanation for dropping Hino is that Q is looking for a better finisher on that line, because Saad sure isn't doing it and Toews isn't the goal scorer.
I'm not in love with the defensive side of Rutta's game, Murphy is bigger and better overall but lacks top speed and doesn't bring much offence.
Would it surprise you if Bowman traded Murphy if a good offer came along? - RickJ
I fully expect Murphy to be dealt (unfortunately). |

They need to figure out with they will do with their 2 RFA's Kempny and Rutta first. Loosing all three would suck |

agreed...this privacy argument is a straw man...not asking for them to publish his medical records...
when kane went down with a shoulder injury in 2015...the basics were released..out 6-8 weeks return by round 2...he came back early by that timeline...
all we heard about craw was upper body...indefinate time line...of course the "indefinate" tag raised eyebrows: groin pulls, muscle stains, sprains, broken bones have a timetable for healing and rehab...

How is this team supposed to get traction with Schizo-Q and his toss the coins in the air line up decisions? Good coaches get the max out if their given roster. Q is now forced to X/O his guys and as we see it’s failing. Buy him a Caddy, move him upstairs and let’s find a young HC to get the train going the right way.
We will learn a lot tomorrow night as to the mental state of this team. |

The fact that Rutta is playing every night shows you what Q thinks of him. Not scratching Rutta often like Kempny and Murphy bodes well for him re-signing as a RFA. However, if Bowman does not expect Rutta to sign a low AAV extension, I can see there being numerous teams who would be interested in adding Jan at the trade deadline. |

According to CapFriendly, Oesterle signed a 2 year deal with the Hawks at $650,000 per year, and becomes a UFA after the 2018-19 season. |

Not until he's actually dealt and you'd have to add a plus next to Duclair's name for whoever would be acquired for Murphy. |

I would be shocked unless if it was something like Trouba for Murphy, kempny/Gus and Kero/Jurco. IE unless a team gives us good value Bowman is not trading him knowing we have a Min 4/5 locked up for 4 more years. The eye test for me and anybody other then Q is Murph Started slow and was given a short leash and persevered thru being put on his off side with a Avg partner. He is a keeper for me 100% unless we are getting a young D man back that is better at this point.
Do you think Q understands he is playing for his Job and stop playing favorites and start listening to his assitants and get the best 20 guys on the ice. Forsling, keith, sharp, Bouma are his babies. heaven forbid you take Keith off the power play. Bouma a scratch once in a while to get more Scoring?upside on the ice, Sharp since he is 35 and clearly not what he was 5 years ago. IE rest at a min. Forsling/Rutta because he has just not looked that good. If you had to rate today the pairings. keith/OST is a 2, Gus/Seabs 3.25, forsling/Rutta 3, and Kempny/Murph 2.75. I want us to win but when that happens he makes no changes.
That said I will be at the game tonight and looking forward to watching some hockey. |

Even though this would be too good to be true for Chicago, If Chevy gives up Trouba for anything less than say a package surrounding Schmaltz per say( I will pay for his way to the Peg), Chevy will be looking for a new job.......eeeeeeemmediatley!
I keep Murphy,he has upside, there is a reason that a few of those other D man that the Hawks have weren't originally drafted by other teams first, probably aren't good enough.
Back to Trouba , seriously , does Chicago have what the Peg wants? Hey didn't they call up Hutchinson yesterday? Now 3goalies are up? What do you give up for both Trouba and Hutchinson?........ No, Toews isn't part of either. I wonder if Bowman??........ Nah, forget it.
Hopefully this Break and the Detroit game last Sunday has some of these guys looking in the mirror , maybe need another Jason Heyward type speech to kick them in the ASS and get it going!

If you’re referring to me - sorry for having negative views of the current administration and its leader - I’ll try to be more like the sycophant Republicans in the future.
And my post was a joke - lighten up, Star. |

the only splash this team is making is into the lottery draft pool...
- bogiedoc
I was reading somewhere last night - sporting news...I think...that the Hawks 2nd rounder or at least one of them is going to the Habs as part of the Danault dumpster fire move, also a 4th gone for the Johnny Oduya reunion last season. So before we get all excited about picks...
And I think Stan still owes Philly picks for the Kimo Timonen move.

This Forsling/Rutta love affair is all Dirty Ulf. How these 2 D are playing ahead of other D I have no idea. They give up break-aways on Penalty Kills for heaven’s sake - from their own blue-line. They NEVER take the body. Not surprisingly they NEVER win a battle for the puck. They are out of position constantly. It is not just me saying these things now - have read elsewhere too. When other young D have played like this they were banished to Rockford. Want the Hawks to win? Start respecting Keith, Seabrook, Murphy and Kempny. Remember the recent game against the Jets - Seebs takes on Big Buff in front of the Hawks’ net and both go to the ice. Know what Rutta and Forsling do in this situation? - NOTHing! Too busy peeing themselves in fear and hiding. Rutta and Forsling can go whole games without initiating contact once. |

"RUMOUR: I'm hearing Chicago is looking for a D and willing to move a forward for one."
I knew there was a reason we traded Shaw... it was to free up jersey #65 for Erik Karlsson.

Trouba with the Hawks is a total pipe dream, they don't have the assets to give back to Winnipeg. Plus why would Chevy trade a player like Trouba within the Central Division. And he sure as hell isn't taking back Nick "I refuse to Shoot the Puck' Schmaltz for him when he already has a stud in Scheiffle and a better center in Bryan Little and more young guys on the farm ready soon to get their NHL shot.
Now if Chevy wants to move Trouba (which he doesn't), the team for him to call is the LV Golden Knights. They have 3 #1's in this year's draft and good kids they drafted last year. |
