Patrick Kane is still good at hockey. Nice finish from Gustafson!

Team’s tuned him out!

I know the Hawks will deny that, but based on their effort the last two games, you really have to wonder if that isn't the case to some degree. To come out of your bye week, knowing full well you need to start racking up points in a hurry and giving this kind of performance, which isn't much better than they looked against Detroit, except for maybe the first few minutes before the Toews penalty, is just hard to explain. Unfortunately, Stan has played a huge roll in this team being on the decline with bad contracts and some poor trades, so I can't say I have any faith in him to get this thing turned around. He has dug himself a huge hole and I wonder if anybody will remind him of his grandstanding speech at the end of last season when he said he was frustrated, angry and embarrassed and he would be better and changes would be made. Well, I guess changes were made, just not for the better and none that really mattered.

Don’t think Q lasts the week.

I'd take that bet against him moving at all this season and would bet dollars to donuts.

Problem is who are you going to replace him with? One of the assistants? Darryl Suter? Mike Keenan?

Best to wait how they progress the season and who becomes available. Midseason coaching changes are only a good idea if you have someone in mind or ready to step in. Hawks do not. Same reason Seabrook got that atrocious extension, they had no one in the system to replace him especially right after Johns was shipped out with Sharp in the Dallas trade just two months earlier

Good for Gus!

This game is not a surprise to me but I don't think this means the season is over. I'll at least wait until the next game for such declarations. Getting a goal back was a good way to end the second. Only down two going into the third. A comeback would do a lot for this team right now.

I really hate to say this. But to me after watching the first part of this game. I have come to the conclusion the the coaching staff of the Hawks have lost this team.

Keith, Toews, Seabrook and Sharp are yesterday's news. They have been rode hard and put away wet. Not one of them are earning their pay. Time has come to say thanks for the memories and the 3 cups and move on from the core and coach Q. Every good thing comes to an end and that time is now.

Hartman may make mistakes and it's always consistent, but he gives more effort that most Blackhawks.
- DarthKane

Hes a more skillful (albeit not by much) version of Shaw. He just needs to learn how Shaw did too, on how to toe the line of aggressive and stupid. Too many careless penalties, which was always Shaws flaw too.

Marchand become an elite player once he learned how to get under skin without sitting in the box

Honestly does Ruuta do anything better than Kempny? I don’t understand why he’s stuck in Qs doghouse.

I don't think they've lost them as much as they are so far inside of their heads they are thinking instead of playing. Some are really confused.

My biggest pet peeve is when you get called up from Rockford how can you not hustle on defense, How is that possible

$10.5M for 50 points is hometown discount? Good to know.

Let me know who would even want 19 at half price.....

This team is stuck with a few of these guys for the long haul. That puts a real hard constraint on any rebuild with depth to it.

The push to sign 19 and 88 when they did is all on McD. If they would have waited a month longer, they would have seen the Can$ collapse and its impact on the cap. Non hockey guys should have NO place running a team.

Ruuta and Forsling need to take a seat and bring in Murphy and Kempny. I still don't understand why the benching of Murphy.

Also HATE the idea to move Vinnie off Line 1...what has Duclair done to earn that shot?

Some guys in the doghouse while others can poop all over the ice and keep getting run....

This team isn't that good, but I do think Q is done.

I don't follow other teams enough to know if every coach has a doghouse with one or two players sitting in it. The only explanation I can come up with is that there are things being said and done out of public view by these shunned players that we will never know about.

toews is untradeable...they would have to retain 50% of that contract to get a partner...MCD and Rockey are not going to swallow that...
