There's always the good ole cap floor teams.. - pete26
Not sure any of them are going to be interested in a goalie that gets paid almost $53 million in actual cash over the first 4 years of his 8 year contract.
The guy that owns the Coyotes has an estimated net worth of less than that. |

Well, he said "Cap Floor Teams" of which there are really only two at the moment. One with a new owner and pretty bad goaltending that's locked up for a few more years, and the Coyotes. |

He won’t be traded but there sure is a market for Price, your Canes come to mind, especially after watching Darling play. |

Funny I kinda just predicted this here
https://gametakes.com/FHxRyZKsA7
But I disagree with maintaining Price .Let that guy run for some more cups the next couple years I say, doubt it will happen though . Pacioretty has to go , Gallagher? I might keep him if he wants to stay.He is a good mentor for the young guys .Why keep Shaw you figure ? |

In that same time period he has traded away:
Brendon Nash - Don't know HIm
Cedrick Desjardins - Looked bad at the time but he never made the jump to NHL
Erik Cole - Actually a good one to get off the books
Danny Kristo - Never ammounted to much
Philippe Lefebvre - who?
Raphael Diaz - Flash in the pan and gone
Steve Qualier - who?
Sebastien Collberg - see above
Louis Leblanc - WORST draft Pick we've made in a long time
Daniel Briere - Should have never signed him
Josh Gorges - He went downhill fast in B-lo
Peter Budaj - Had a bit of a resurgence last year... but no real loss
Patrick Holland - meh... no loss
Travis Moen - Was a workhorse for a few seasons... did little after being dealt
Rene Bourque - He was useless
Jiri Sekac - signed for nothing... traded a bust for a bust
Jack Nevins - who?
Brandon Prust - no loss... other than for his fiancee/wife
Christian Thomas - no loss
Zack Kassian - we needed a goalie and he needed a fresh start... Scrivens helped fill a spot
Dustin Tokarski - the kid was never going to make the N with us... and wont elsewhere
Jared Tinordi - got rid of him before he failed substance testing
Stefan Fournier - who?
Dale Weise - landed a great package for him
Tomas Fleischmann - see above
Devante Smith-Pelly - meh... he played well after we traded him... then back to his normal
Lars Eller - got a decent return on him
PK Subban - BRUTAL... Weber is good but this is what sinks Bergie
Tim Bozon - no loss
Jonathan Racine - meh
Philip Samuelsson - who?
Greg Pateryn - no loss
David Desharnais - no loss
Sven Andrighetto - turns out the kid can play... whoops.
Mikhail Sergachev - OUCH... Drouin is good... but Sergachev is looking great on a great team.
Nathan Beaulieu - casualty of the expansion draft
Andreas Martinsen - no loss
Zach Redmond - landed Deslauriers for him!
Torrey Mitchell - traded to give him more opportunity
Peter Holland - no loss
Al Montoya - no loss... lots of Goalies in the system to replace him.
41 players out. - PepinoPamplemousse

Vancouver would not trade any good picks or prospects. I doubt Bergevin would just try to dump Price elsewhere without getting anything good in return. Then again, maybe they would if they get to unload a bad contract themselves. |

May not be an untouchable, but he isn't going anywhere. No market for goalies, and nobody is taking on that albatross of a contract. - stinger67
Exactly, to call him untouchable as if he's been some durable, consistent golden goaltender the last 4 years is laughable; the reality is he's untradeable because of a ridiculous contract we all knew was bad the second it was signed. |
