I saw that. There is no way they are winning tonight anyway. Facking Johnston and Quine. Why even make the trip?

You can get guys off the street who never skated that could be more of a help.

if I was Tavares I'd tell Snow I've had enough...the funny part will be when Barzal tells them in the summer he's had enough...

Staple: What’s happened to Josh Ho-Sang? https://nwsdy.li/2mW9Owr via @newsday

"Weight said Josh Bailey’s injury on Jan. 5 should have been the perfect opportunity for Ho-Sang to come back to the Islanders, where he began this season. But the Islanders organization — that’s GM Garth Snow, Weight (who is also an assistant GM), Bridgeport coach Brent Thompson and assistant GM Chris Lamoriello — didn’t see where Ho-Sang would have learned much since he wasn’t, in their view, working hard in the AHL."

They may miss the playoffs but as long as Ho-Sang is taught a lesson it's okay.

I'd trade him...not sure he'll ever make with this GM and coaching staff. It's really hard for a player to turn it around when the perception is you don't work hard enough...maybe you can package him with a 2nd or third round pick and get an NHL caliber player. I'm sure a team like Ottawa, Buffalo or others will take a flyer on himm...

I'd rather keep Ho-Sang and get a new GM and coaching staff.

Rags and Devils both lost in regulation today. Isles with a perfect opportunity to gain some ground............but likely won't.....

But as Jimmy said, at least Ho-Sang is being taught a lesson.

I don't think anyone's going to take a rookie who already had a bad reputation and who is now in the AHL because of the exact things all the other teams were concerned about. He was putting some points up while he played in the NHL, so it’d make more sense to me to play him while the team’s decimated with injuries.

For one, he’s the very obvious choice over this collection of characters they’ve thrown out there instead. And as a bonus, if he produces well in a more noticeable role, someone who needs a cheap point producing forward might be more willing to take a chance on him.

I will actually be home for the start of the game tonight. I am going to DVR it anyway so I can start fast forwarding when it becomes unwatchable. Hopefully be able to get to the second period at least.

I don't know what's more unpredictable and unorthodox, Ho Sang's play or the management of this team?

I miss the days where we only had to worry about the isles giving up bad goals in final minutes of periods, not entire periods.

You said it in the first sentence. He has a bad reputation around the league and the coaching staff doesn't like him. I read some of the veterans on the team weren't thrilled with him either...

Mark Parrish talking about Isles needing to be better in the d zone and neutral zone and slowing down the opposing forwards. Maybe he should have been one of the coaches?

For my money this the best anthem in the league, and then you have the isles with a different person every game, they need a guy like this

edit butch agrees

Was thinking the same thing. Best job on the Star Spangled Banner I've heard in years....
