I'm going to start riding the train to games to try and bump into Ledecky so I can let him know that the seats in his fancy new arena will age really well because they will be seldom sat in, unless he changes something.

If I find a way to get Snow canned, I'm claiming the rights to (frank)ing everyone's wife/GF that posts in here regularly.

Except mdw. I'm not into fat chicks.

Actually "Isles Need Mike Milbury"
Yes, yes, yes the Mike Milbury who knew the objective was to win not just stock pile draft picks and prospects, even if it meant short sighted trades like sending away Zdeno Chara, Todd Bertuzzi, Roberto Luongo and others.

Of course credit Snow with holding the budget and raising the franchise value but where is the winning attitude in this franchise vs the sense of entitlement that we are high round draft picks and the other teams will roll over for us!

Where are those 'psychos' who will do anything to win vs these deer in the headlights who should be strapped to the roof of the station wagon and driven back to Bridgeport?

Its pretty amazing Snow seems like he very rarely likes to trade any prospects. I mean sure the Griff trade was great but thats Chia.

I mean you can make fun of the Rangers cause they traded pics prospect every year up until last year, but Snow is the other end of the spectrum. He doesn't want to get rid of anyone.

I should have told Ledecky I was extremely concerned with the GM and coach instead of saying very concerned.

Rangers at least care enough to try to win. Some moves will just not work out like you thought it would. You just do not let season after season fall apart without doing anything.

That wouldn't be so bad if he didn't have a love affair with low talent players. He can't get enough of them. He also overpays them.

I've said it before, he is the literal antithesis of Mike Milbury. Milbury was a gun-slinging loose cannon that traded every pick and prospect he had but Snow is the GM-equivalent of a hoarder. Clinging desperately to every and any asset he can unless there is a deal so unfathomably favorable to him that he literally can't turn it down. Milbury was trash, but Snow isn't much better.

This organization values loyalty to players ten times more than it does icing a competitive team.

Nobody can convince me that part of the long-term strategy when Snow took over was trying to change the perception of the team in the eyes of NHL players so that we could attract some free agent talent. Kissing players asses and treating them like gold, something most players that have left here have said publicly, is just sucking up to them so word trickles out that "the Islanders are great" and sway their opinions that the Islanders are an embarrassment of a franchise. It's working great.

great article ..

I swear this idiot is trying to showcase all these clowns to include them in a trade. He actually thinks in his warped mind he will get an OEL for a group of Prince, Quinne, Fritz and Ross friggin Johnston. .... truly maddening.

Weird, from the outside looking in you guys seem to be doing pretty good. His trades with Edmonton we're unreal - drafting Barzal - a few big mistakes for sure but if you keep JV and maybe fix up some D (maybe you guys should make an offer for Tanev or Guddy to Van)

Garth has built a solid core of talent from the draft. He has failed to get us a real coach, and constantly opts for has been Veterans and AHL players instead of pulling the trigger on a big trade. When you have tons of picks and tons of young talent on the team and in the system.. you should be able to make a big trade. He is so in love with his picks and prospects he refuses to move them to help the team.

Yeah all they have to do is find about 3 top-4 defensemen and a good starting goalie. And keep Tavares. And probably get some new players for the bottom-6.

this team has 2 very solid lines.... Very.. they also have guys like Bellows, Ho Sang, Towes, 2 first round picks this year. they have guys like Brock nelson on the team who would get people's interest. He could easily make a trade to help this team. He refuses to pull the trigger... ever.. it's maddening.

Goalies are fine when not dealing with 5 2-on-1 and 3-on-1 a period.

I never thought I would say this but if they included Leddy in a big trade I would be fine with it. he and Hickey don't understand the concept of Defense.

Everytime I open a hockey site I'm hoping to see Garth Snow fired or Weight fired OR preferably both. Everyone has to go!

Worst part about this is we all know Ledecky is going to use the injuries as an excuse to bring this slob back next year

If Snow does have a long-term contract as per the rumor, make him GM of Bridgeport and ECHL team and hire someone else.
