Seriously, what would it take to get Karlsson out of Ottawa? If he’s really on the block and signed through next season, it’d be worth it to go get him, if the price was fair. That would immediately upgrade the D and make a statement that the isles are in it to win it. - Jethro09
I sure the Sens would want Beau in the deal especially the way he has been playing and maybe Pulock as well? |

I also like Beau and feel you have to make the move for Karlsson. Having Bellows in the system and showing promise helps. |

I think the cost for OEL is both Beau and Bellows + 1 D prospect (Toews, Pulock, Aho) + 1st + 1st or 2nd. Karlson will be less as OEL has 1 extra year on his contract |

Isles proved last night they can be very tough if they play the right way. Isles have an excellent offense that does not have to play high risk to score goals. They need to get the puck in deep and get it out of the zone. I would not mind the Isles trying for a lesser name dman first. I think a lot of the Isles issues are structure and not lack of talent. |

Arizona wants two proven roster played and a 1st plus so who are you giving up? Nelson and Bailey? Bailey is a ufa and Lee shouldn't go either? Eberle? |

What they want doesn't mean they'll get it. Trade value goes down closer he gets to UFA. Still have to give up a lot but don't think it will be as much as they are asking for IMO |

this is the time to bring OEL. if we loose jt this year at least we have a franchise Dman - ziggy_skalica
Per the article, it looks like Islanders aren't getting either of them. I'd make two minor to medium moves. One for a third line center and a defensive defenseman. I'd keep all my good prospects (Bellows), young players (Beauvillier) and first round picks (use them if Tavares leaves) and see what happens. |

If Tavares leaves, who could the Isles target in a trade with those assets? |

Isles should get OEL. .. Nelson, Ho Sang, and a first should get a decent amount of interest. I would even include one of our D-men .. (Leddy, Pelech, Toews, or Aho). Snow should be able to get this done.. and it should be done. |

1) nope
2) nope
3) I hope you're right but Ill eat my shorts if the islers land OEL
4) I starting to agree on JT if he cant decide by deadline move him for a ton and use it in this deep draft, Barzal is drawing comparisions to 88 and 87 out there and looks like he could be a 1c. now he could also fall off but this team cant lose JT and Bailey for nothing |

They aren't moving him at the deadline at a major discount. It's not even worth debating it because they are 150% not moving him. |

JT? yea I know they actually had an open debate about stuff on nhl radio and one was tavares and they put it at 85 staying 15 leaving and one point was what does he need to know now that he already doesnt that would allow him to stay? In other words not much will change between now and july 1st so if he was going to stay he would already know. the other side was what if he gets hurt bad between now and then he stands to lose 100 million dollars. the other debate was the calder but ill spare you that |

Cannot see the Isles moving JT. Regarding OEL and Karlsson, I do not see the Isles getting either one. Isles best bet is to try to get lesser known dmen who could still help nad some bottom 9 forwards. |

im good with Nelson, Ho Sang, and a first. I dont think given up leddy acheives anything.. then we would be back where we started. we need OEL and Leddy.
Pelech and Mayfield are not anything special, I like what im seeing from Aho. seems like he has room to grow |

The only chance JT gets moved at the deadline is if the Islanders play like they did recently against New Jersey and Boston.........every game......... so that they are completely out of the playoff race at the deadline. Even then I think there's a possibility they hold onto him. |

I would say the trade deadline and offseason up until July 1st would be pretty big for him to see what the Islanders are doing (or not doing - happy, Cpt? ) to bolster the team. Even if those things didn't matter and nothing was going to change, I think he may just want to deal with the negotiation in the off-season and not have it be a distraction for him or his teammates. |

OEL without quesiton is better than Leddy, but there's no way you can move Leddy to Get OEL that wouldn't make any sense what so ever. It would more or less be a lateral movement. The whole point is to upgrade the defense as a whole, not trade out best dman for another dman to replace him. Isles need Leddy, OEL and Boychuk for this to even make sense. |

the team has said they will not pressure him at all so they probably told his agent we will beat any offer you get out there |
