Just having some bad luck...beauty pass to Mr. Marleau...just didn't bury it.

We'll be fine...2 points tomorrow and that's 4 out of the last 6

1 point in 21 games is more than bad luck...

I don't think anyone blames Hyman for his spot in the lineup. Some of just think he's ill-suited to be there much like Bozak was force-fitted into the Leafs top line C for so many years.

For me the problem with this is that Brown has shown game in and game out that he can do EXACTLY what Hyman does with better speed and upgraded offensive instincts over Hyman. Obviously I'd prefer someone high end over both but the Leafs just don't have that down the LW.

Andreas Johnson could be that kid.

Yeah, i'm not sure how often Kadri and Komarov have been scored on in OT?
Would be interesting to find out

- walshyleafsfan

I'm fine with them starting and getting possession then switching off 1 for 1. Last nights OT was a bad look for those of us calling for Matthews/Nylander to start but I also really wish Rielly was available over Gardiner there.

I doubt that....but Nylander and Gardiner sharing a brain for a couple moments there didn't work out....I thought the D was supposed to allow the shot and take away the pass....same on the shorty scored against us.

Yup. You're legit taught that in goddamn peewee. And these NHLers still can't wrap their heads around it. Makes me cringe every time it happens, which is way to often..

Hyman is a better forchecker than Brown. I have no problem whatsoever with him on that line.

I do agree that Brown needs to play up in the lineup.

Next game, to light a fire under Kadri id like to see Marleau take center and Brown go up on that line. Kadri to the 4th

Kadri is not even doing a great job against the other top line either.. His game is lost at the moment.

Agreed, let the goalie see the shot, and the defender is to take away the pass...

Not yesterday though.. Both Nylander and Gardiner were confused

I can't think of any times.

I can sure think of times where Kadri scored, and times where they scored the following shift.

Babcock gets paid all this money for a reason, and there is a reason we are all on hockeybuzz and not getting paid to make desicions.

I guess, as long as they don't get scored on too much..it's still a bonus. He'll get it going for the stretch/playoffs hopefully!!!

Apperently his Corsi has been great that past 10 games.

I haven't noticed. Something needs to be done to get him going he's an important player.

It's a positive sign that the Leafs have been limiting goals against and scoring chances but we can't sacrifice all the scoring for it

From what I've read he's the most NHL ready prospect and has a high ceiling

Per the Athletic, and they are the only reporters who actually watch games and not go on hockey DB to judge players

Why not just bring up Kapanen, and play him on the LW?

He gets like 5-10 seconds less than the 1st player in PP time

Everyone gets the same amount

Matthews has been bad on the PP this year

He needs to earn it

- Santo_44

Matthews has been having a rough time since the first concussion.

Lately he looks like he did when he had his dry spell last year. I hope he figures this out. There is no 12 million contract waiting for a guy who s 43rd in PPG.

It doesn't help that it seems like every goalie we face now makes incredible saves all game long. Nuevirth won that game for philadelphia.

No room for him.

I'd like to see him up as much as the next guy but there isn't room unless a singer gets traded or hurt

If that was Kadri's role. and he performed it well, I have no problem with it.

The OTHER top 9 forwards are all poopting the bed the past month. Matthews, Nylander, Marner, JVR, Bozak, Komarov have all been bad.

Yeah, we have ran into some hot goaltending lately.

I've seen more positives the last 4-5 Games than I have most of the season. Just need the top players to get the (frank) going

I agree, I do think JVR has been pretty good.

He's the only one that shoots the puck on that line. Bozak and Marner have a passing competition each game.
