Ehh I can't speak the game as a whole since I only saw the OT + the game in 6 but I really can't see why everyones going in so hard on Marner for that.

He had to make a move to avoid Raffl's poke-check and in that split second he did, Patrick cleaned him out. IMO it's not a good example to illustrate poor play like his bonehead move to cheat in OT last game. (Which Nylander was exactly guilty of last night too. Both cheating for offense which (frank)ed the team.)

lol @ sens fans. they're in for an epic disappointment.

they'll get a good young player, 2 1sts and maybe a couple other minor pieces.

but that means something like burakovsky, 2 1sts and a prospect from washington.

they should do the deal this year, cause they'll get less than that next year.

He gets like 5-10 seconds less than the 1st player in PP time

That's fair. I'll be optimistic and chalk it up to upside. With Polak and Komarov we know what we've got in them. With Marner/Nylander, I think there is a battered-wife syndrome that we don't want to be too critical as they grow because it will chase them out of town and subsequently make them generational talents with another team.

He definitely doesn't look like he's taking it seriously, that's for sure. We should be able to lock him up fairly cheaply if it carries on all year. He'll bounce back,but he's gotta have a change in attitude

love Marner, he will get back going again soon. But he has been horrible lately and no one blames him for it. They keep blaming Komarov and Hyman when they are playing hard and actually well.

The best part is when they hate when Komarov is on in the first shift on 3 on 3, and the games he isn't they get scored on both games

I doubt that....but Nylander and Gardiner sharing a brain for a couple moments there didn't work out....I thought the D was supposed to allow the shot and take away the pass....same on the shorty scored against us.

I don't think anyone blames Hyman for his spot in the lineup. Some of just think he's ill-suited to be there much like Bozak was force-fitted into the Leafs top line C for so many years.

For me the problem with this is that Brown has shown game in and game out that he can do EXACTLY what Hyman does with better speed and upgraded offensive instincts over Hyman. Obviously I'd prefer someone high end over both but the Leafs just don't have that down the LW.
