This sucks about Shatty, explains a lot and respect the guy even more for playing through it, this though is another sign to do the right thing and sell - KreiderBomb
It does quite explain why AV is only seven games over .500 this year. I mean one limp, $6 million defensemen, Mark Staal and Brendan Smith manning the blue line. What f'ing coach can win with that?

What does it matter if Kampfer is "maxed out?"
He's a 3rd pairing guy, who is playing perfectly well when called upon.
You do realize that every team needs 3 sets of D-men, right? And therefore, every team needs 3rd pairing D-men. And it's kinda nice when those guys can be relied on and don't make several million dollars a season.
ADA is going to get his chance and it has very little to do with Kampfer being on the roster at the same time. - Tonybere
My thinking exactly. Very cheap 6/7 guy |

Smith has been better since the scratch, hopefully he’s turning things around |

Waive Kampfer, call up Pionk and after the deadline call up Chytil and Andessson in the last two weeks as to not burn a year of the ELC |

No he hasn't. He took 2 dumb (frank)ing penalties last night that resulted in goals. |

Zucc took 2 penalties last night also, but bc his didn’t result in goals it’s ok? |

From last night..." Zuke isn't having a good game."
Not sure what that has to do with Smith |

Those penalties were the only reasons Zucc was visible last night.
Need him to straighten himself out. |

Not going to defend Zuc because his penalties were stupid as well. Zuc is a midget
As for Smith, he is a mental midget.

No no no, we need all 6 defenseman to be soft as a baby’s butt and put up 40+ points a season. - nyrangers9479
That's 240 points from 6 guys. That'd lead right up to the top of the standings. |

Ur saying he isn’t playing well bc he took 2 penalties. His defense and aggressive play that we loved last year seem to be coming back. |

His aggressive play is back, his defense is still bad. So playing defensively bad, plus taking 2 dumb penalties doesn't make him playing good now. I hope he does get back to what we saw in the Habs series(and why he was signed), but as of right now, he isn't there. |

His last few games since the scratch he’s been better defensively. But of course since I said that now u will all say he’s been terrible. I see what’s going on here. |
