Kane has not been convicted on anything as a Sabre

move along

Nope, but an ACD isn't exactly "getting off Scot-Free."

I'm in the I don't particularly care unless it's severe camp.

I get the difference in social class ect.

You just want to argue:
My point was why sign a troublemaker when there are plenty of other options?

That's a big part of why contract talks have not happened with the sabres and kane.

- Boss34

That's true. I got a new keyboard today and I'm trying to get used to it. Don't ask me about all the other times though...

Edit: But also I don't think that Kane is this big troublemaker either.

What ever happened with Ryan Oreilly. That one certainly got swept under the rug quietly..

And to add to this: I doubt it’s ever been brought up or will ever be talked about again. Little bit of a double standard if you ask me. And by brought up I mean by media/commentators

Trouble maker is kinda missing here this past season. Team needed a leader. maybe not him unless he took another step forward. But he is leading the team in the production area. Why get rid of him . You are not gonna be able to replace his points . It will be 2 years from now till we see anything close .

I guess. The fact that they didnt reach out, according to that quote, makes it seem as though the price tag was irrelevant.
- Sabresfan-365

I’m sure they had some sort of preliminary communication

It would be really weird if there was none whatsoever

I don't know about that, I just know my kid saw an opportunity and made it work. Now he's "Mr. Rubber."

Very quietly. Canada's justice system allows for that though.

- Wetbandit1

You’ve been saying for months that YOU thought the Browns would take Allen?

Only person on here I’ve seen say it is Gerbe

Okposo got 6 I believe, but I get your point. I'm not sold on Kane at all. He plays well with Eichel like everyone else, but I don't think he's the right fit with him long term. He's also injured a good amount, and he's never had this kind of great season before.

I truly believe this season is a mirage

- jcragcrumple

His assists have gone up with Jack,
but he’s had a 25goals/82games for his entire career
So it’s not like he blows
Kane is still productive away from Jack,
just not AS productive

Would be a strange thing since we were told they want to keep Kane....
If they wanted Kane to stay they'd at least reach out and talk contract, I assume.

Just saying the guy is a perfect example of a double standard. I mean the guy basically get traded because he has issues with a team mate and has a pissy fit for not being able to play center, drives drunk, crashes his car and flees the scene.

Never get brought up, talked about by the media.

Yet Kane is labeled as the locker room cancer and trouble maker for life.

Yea I mean I’m not disagreeing with your point either. NHL players that get in trouble stand out like a sore thumb. Many will disagree but I do believe him being black only makes it worse. (Not meant to spark a race debate) but he’s kept himself pretty clean as of late. It may just be him putting on a show, but hes performed well on the ice and that more important to me.
- MCGUIZZY

Does the reason really matter if he stays out of trouble? He's not getting into trouble. Maybe he's growing up, maybe he doesn't want to go to jail, prison if he's dumb enough to do something really bad, because he's not going to get an ACD next time.

For sure. It's just a question of what that's worth. He isn't now, nor has ever been, a sniper. That's what Eichel needs most imo.

Kane is undoubtedly a good player, and his ability/speed/toughness will be missed. But if he's only interested in making out his dollar value - which he's certainly in the right for doing - the Sabres are wise to walk away imo.

I still think if he were interested in 6x6, the deal would be done

I get it , he's a good hockey player with a fearless style.

Darby

Watkins

All good at football, but the bills made the playoffs with out them and their baggage.

Could (should) have been better with them.

Tough call . either way we go with it .
