I think Willman is in the same boat, but I bet they let him walk. I'd sign Borgen and let him burn a year, though. I don't want him to walk, we're too thin on D.

It's tough to think a guy would go to 3 years of school and then leave without graduating . Must be important to him.

I'm afraid the Olympics are going to make him a star.

That's different from negotiations on going.

I've said this before, why would you want a trouble maker in sport full of non trouble makers? Makes zero sense

He is also injured frequently.

- Boss34

Who didnt make trouble at 18,19,20,21,22,23,24,25?

Lot's of guys forgo their last year of school and sign, they just finish up their academics on their own time.

You're right, though, if borgen shines in the Olympics, he might be as good as gone.

No problem. You got me curious as I didn't really know anything about the lawsuit even existing.

If you go back to that website periodically, you'll be able to track the case, more or less, by the filings. If it does settle or resolve before trial (highly likely), you will see a dismissal or similar document closing out the case. Of course, we'll never see the details of a settlement.

It made me think of this for some reason probably because Cambria represents these guys:

http://www.pressreader.co.../20160529/282355448992261

click on the bikers, brotherhood, and a deadly 'civil war'.

I used to deliver pizza to these guys when I was in high school. I walked up to that building that's in the pic with the two cop SUVs out-front and there was a thick steel door set in a stout steel frame. There's a camera above the door. I ring the bell and pound on the door(I learned to never trust a doorbell) and someone shouted from the other side.

"Who is it!?"

"Pizza" I say.

Then scraping across the door as if it was barred shut. Door opens just wide enough for me to fit through with my bag with the food.

"Come on in"

So I go in, guy shuts the door behind me and puts the bar back in place. There's no windows, dark and dingy. It was really unsettling. There was a lady at the end of the bar, big, 40's, has had a rough life, super nice. Guy was also super nice. Made some excuse, apologized about the gruffness and the door. I just wanted to GTFO at that point. I gave them their food. They gave me a nice tip, like $5 on a $12 order to literally walk down the street that's how close they were. So the guy lets me out and I fairly run back to the pizza shop. I delivered one or 2 more times to them, they made me wait and did the thing with the door. But they were super nice to me and gave me a good tip.

Name a few .

Sure an occasional dui or drugs, but not even close to the nfl . Regardless of league size

- Boss34

This is the second time you referenced the nfl organically tonight.
Apples and oranges brah (bro).

Though, I'll tell you what I was infinitely more creeped out by the guys at a place called "The Gathering" it was a place where nerds got together and played D&D and Magic: The Gathering. I refused to go to the back of the place I always stayed at the front. I always thought nefarious poop was going down in the back rooms. And not the fun kind of nefarious. That place was even closer than The Kingsmen. They did NOT tip well.

One of the guys who was always there ended up working for us for a few months, everyone hated him. He (frank)ed me over on a delivery. Long story. I ended up getting no tip for like 30 minutes of work. He ordered a chicken finger sub and didn't make it himself. First mistake. The driver on that day made it extra special. He wanted it medium, we put about 8oz of cayenne into Franks and tossed the fingers and then slathered it on the roll, but before that the driver picked his nose and got this giant booger and rubbed it on the roll and the hot sauce went on over the top. Then the driver spit in the blue cheese. Thankfully the bumhole quit about a week later.

That’s kind of a lot
What type defensemen we talking about getting back for that?

I’m not expecting OEL...
but that’s a lot to give up for a “top4” guy

I feel like Hurley was actually rated pretty highly at the time. Never panned our tho
- MCGUIZZY

I remember him being one of the youngest players. People saying he would of been a 1st if he was in the 2015 draft. Doesn’t seem to be panning out unfortunately though

I got nothing

this kid regressed more than any sabre prospect, ever this year

- homiedclown

I don’t think he was ever that good
Never liked the pick
He had a good playoffs in his draft year
Besides that,
he’s been pretty “meh”

I wanted Santini with that pick

Hurley transferred to Minny though
Sitting out this season bc of the transfer
Hopefully he has a big senior season
Otherwise, we aren’t signing him

I agree to some degree, but there are 37 games left and we look better every game.
Glad we have a good cushion

if they part with Lehner, I would be fine signing Jonathan Bernier to back up Ullmark

it would be a nice 50/32 game split

- homiedclown

I’ve been a Bernier fan for a while
I’m surprised he never turned into a “#1”
He actually has better numbers than Varlamov last i checked

I don’t doubt what you’re hearing
It’s just really curious to me bc we actually have Cap room
Especially with it going up 5-7mil
Even if we are stuck with Bogo, it’s only 2 more years (same with Moulson)
Pommer gone after 1 more
Gorges gone after this year
That’s over 20mil

Unless Botts really thinks we can sign Tavares and Carlson...
and even then,
it’s possible to make it all work
Even WITH Kane too

my only guess is pretty much 39 mil tied up with 6 players if there is no lockout in 19-20

it is reason for concern, but I think there is room to add the right one
