Reaves is not a “deterrent”. I’ll beat that horse till whatever dumb $hit you said. The Penguins used to play scared of some teams they don’t now. Obviously Reaves can’t deter anything when he’s not on the ice. If some player is running around being an idiot all night it’s up to Reaves or JO to give him a tune up but it’s impossible for them to prevent everything from happening. Your logic and expectations in this area are flawed and irrational.

Goalie looks positionally sound...hes not swimming and seems like he's smart.

Dumoulin has been their best defensive dman on most nights but that gets him no glory. He compliments Letang and Shultz very well although Maatta and Shultz have found good chemistry lately.

With Letang constantly making poor decisions, I'm not sure I can fully judge Dumo this season. Sure Dumo made a crap decision there, but Letang made the big mistake. It's a tight checking 1 goal game and Letang decided to force things. Just awful decision making.

plenty of time to adjust and not drill him there. he did what he wanted to. probably looking at nice chunk of games without schultz now.

hopefully they at least make them pay here. not scoring one in five minutes would be deflating to say the least to where i'd worry about not holding on to finish the game.
