That was 1 of Hunwicks worst games of the season last night by far... There is zero excuse thats justifiable to sit cole over hunwick tonight.

He's 2nd behind Phil in 5v5 scoring. He hasn't been invisible.

Other than the Islander game (2G, 1A) he hasn't registered a point. There has been other games where he's been noticeable making plays and shooting the puck but last night wasn't 1 of them

Never mind I went back and read the previous quotes and you're referring to Sheary not Sprong

I’m usually pretty hard on Hornqvist, but I have to give credit where credit is due. He’s been very good this year and I personally think he stands out in a good way more often than bad.

I’d really like to see Sprong play the 3rd line. The game just looks too fast for him right now. Some players just take some time to adjust to the speed.

Oh wait, I (frank)ed up, I thought Thorny was talking about Sheary but he was talking about Sprong. My apologies Thorny!

Sheary is productive when he's with Crosby. On a third line role he doesn't get nearly as much. 3g, 2a in his last 26.

Well one was an empty netter shot from ANA's zone with like 2 seconds left. The first one he tied of Getzlaf and Guentzel left Rackell wide open for the tip. The 2nd one he definitely (frank)ed up on... but, you don't bench your best offensive defensman when your team needs goals in the last period. You just don't.

Really? Because his numbers are (frank)in sexy.

Their scoring chances are 41-10 and high danger chances are 14-1.

Man! Ryan, no one else thinks Reaves is a deterrent except you! You're not beating a dead horse, you're being ridiculous. If Reaves threw punches & Perry (unlike Malkin), controlled himself, you'd be all over over him for getting an instigator penalty!

How about throwing some attitude at Malkin for getting a penalty when all he had to do was get out of the situation with Bieksa??? Perry smart, Geno not smart!

Starting to get to a point that the blog may not get read!

I think you're right about the game speed. The line is still creating a lot, but he's forcing plays a bit. Phil will show him the way.

He and Simon are deferring a lot, which is understandable when your on the ice with 87.

So would getting a bottom 6 C fix that then having Geuntzy play Sid's wing? Or do we try & get an experienced top 6 winger?

I'd be getting a lower end C.

So far I have read we are in the mix for the following players trade wise.

Kane (buffalo), Green (detroit), Vanek (vancouver), Letestu (edmonton).

I don't know why we are in on Green, unless they see him fitting in better than Schultz or Letang. I would love to see Kane and Letestu on the pens. I am not sold on Vanek, but I just read how we were a team who may be in the mix

I have no idea why we would be in on Green either. Our top 4 is in good shape and having Oleksiak around makes our right side pretty deep.

I would be really happy if we got Letestu and over the moon if we got Kane.

Letestu would be a nice get, but it depends on the price.

I think Kane would be great and a player they should sign.

Yeah there's definitely a price where I'd be out on trading for Kane, but I will be driving the (frank)ING SIGN HIM bandwagon this summer.

I’m remaining adamant about not wanting the Pens to move their 1st under any circumstances.
