Bro, isn't it amazing? You can pick up a veteran forward that's dirt cheap and is literally FREE to add who will help your severely injured lineup, your dead last PK, all while helping you win some faceoffs.

This is a little insane, but the only explanation I can think of is that teams are limited to having 50 guys under contract. Garth might have had to release some guy in the minors from his contract in order to bring in Jokinen.

They would maybe rattle off a 6-5 OT victory or something when they were already down 2 or 3 games to none. I'm a big believer in that defense will win you a championship when it comes down to it.

Acquiring 2 1sts for him (along with other pieces, obviously) wouldn't be the worst thing for the franchise. 3 first round picks in 2018 and 2 picks in 2019. Let barzal take over first line center. Either use the picks or trade all 3 of them to move up to #1 and draft Dahlin.
