Lindros. Well deserved honor tonight. Tremendous player. His ending as a Flyer player was tragic in every way. Feud. Injured and lost the series. Held out. Traded to the goddamn (frank)ing rangers. Ultimately no Cup. So many amazing moments that add up to bitter sweetness. Or perhaps the other way around.
Fences have been mended. That feels good. For some reason, I wish he'd be more involved though, as an active member of the office/staff. I know that's not his life.
For tonight, I hope for once the Flyers play with determination and win one of these games where a former player is honored. Make it mean something.
I was watching a few of the 95 playoffs vs the rangers clips earlier today and forgot how crazy dorny got after Haller's Game 2 winner in OT. it's (frank)ing hysterical.
can be heard just before the 4 min mark in this video:
Please win this game. We've already screwed up other games that included inducting Lindros, LeClair or Desjardin into the Flyers Hall of Fame. Can we just do this right?
My issue with this team is not so much that we're a below average team but more so the way we lose games. We'll have a lead heading into the 3rd and we blow the loss. We'll finally gain ground on teams but not show up against a division rival. We're a good team but there are a lot of lessens to be learned. Not just players but the coach.

JVR has 19 goals, not 10. Makes me happy that he scores on Philly often, hopefully he has a good night tonight - Conquest
I feel like all the pending UFA Left Wingers that I named we should kick the tires on this summer have put on a show against us this season. JvR, Kane, Nash.

I think that's the reason they put the warmups after the ceremony to try to stop the crappy play post ceremony
That’s some a+ development going on with Sanheim. - flyer_nutter
the MOST important thing during these years of mediocrity while we wait patiently for the prospects to develop is that Brandon Manning is rewarded for not being his usual poopty self (at hockey...seems like a great dude)
Watch Vandevelde play hockey for 2 years until prospects are ready and then watch the ghost of VDV play instead of the ready prospects

VDV was a solid hockey player for this club. Why else would he have started that many games?
