I'm kind of wondering if Cole made a move on Sullivan's daughter or something. Sitting him over Hunwick is forced obsolescence.

and thats what i dont get. i know its been beaten to death that they know hes going to be lost for nothing so theyre looking to trade him and dont want him hurt or whatever. but if all theyre going to get is a third or something equivalent, i would honestly rather trot him out there every night and lose him for nothing. i get asset management, but its not like youre losing your franchise cornerstone for nothing. you need the help now, and he makes a big difference over hunwick.

sadly, like people have mentioned, should cole deal back in it will be at oleksiaks expense instead of hunwick.

Honestly I feel like at this point upgrading from Hunwick to Cole is worth a second. Unless Cole is getting a 1st round pick or a good prospect, which there's no way he is, I have no idea why we would trade or not play him in favor of Hunwick.

Hunwick is literally the worst player on the roster. He's our 8th D by a wide margin. I can't wait til Ruhwedel comes back and I'll be really pissed if Oleksiak loses his spot.

Terrible goals against from the 2 I saw - Kase & Wagner. 2 terrible & feeble plays by 2 Dmen. Also no hustle from Geno getting back on Wagners goal - just (frank)ing gave up!

From Duckland I can say we’re pretty happy w/ RC sure he makes some bonehead moves like playing KB more than 10 a night & having him out there in critical situations... he also got Getz to stop constantly whining and has held this team together in a nightmare season of injuries ...
and he’s learned to love playing kids lots ... which is a huge turnaround...

Yeah, what I saw was ugly. Letang looked bad and I'm not sure Schultz is 100%. He seems much slower in both foot speed and play making. The last 6 minutes almost every breakout pass from the Pens D was off. Sprong was pretty invisible from what I saw too.

Nope, wrong. The Pens completely messed up and ruined everything by trading him. If he was in the lineup instead of Hunwick this team would soooo much harder to play against...

While I clealry want Cole over Hunwick, Hunwick is not nearly as bad as people make him out to be. Yeah, I’m not a fan of him or his contract, but the Pens could have done a lot worse.

I remember someone posting some advanced stats comparing him to Cole and Hunwick’s stats were better.

It’s entirely possible he’s just one of those players who does a decent job, just doesn’t look good doing it.
