I could think of 5 million reasons to send him overseas, if he doesn't retire.
- 51_Killer

Seriously. I would also put up with another lockout if it means that sucktastic players like Moulson and Leino are held accountable for being truly terrible.

I get having a bad season, but this is ridiculous. Teams need to have some recourse if a player completely falls apart.

Yeah, i know, no one forced the Sabres to sign him to that deal, but shouldn't the player have a responsibility to at least score a point in 15 games?

What about a clause that players can retire and get paid their salary if they're over 30 or something and there's no cap hit, but they can't unretire for 5 years or something

JVR wont. Leafs still think they can make the playoffs. Price too high on Neal and VEgas is a budget conscious team that wont eat salary to move him

There's 90 MILLION unemployed adults in America

I know your brain has a hard time grasping things after 1980, but that also includes 20-30 years old who mostly can't find work because 60 year old men refuse to retire on their wonderful pensions they keep milking and it's destroying the job market

Not to mention, the working class is 90% of this country's workforce and they are uneducated and ignorant to the propaganda machine telling them there's gender wage-gaps (there really isn't), that women don't have equal opportunity (they do) and at the same time, men are exploited for child support by women who purposefully lock guys down knowing it's 18 years of extra income.

There aren't any jobs. The highest industry only employs about 4 million people and that's the health service industry IIRC.

Caveat: if the Leafs can trade JVR for a defenceman of equal talent, I think they trade him at the deadline.

now to get to the meat of the bone

1. pensions are a thing of the past

2. there are 10 dollar an hour jobs out there all the time, people with degrees don't take them

3. those on welfare have no incentive to get off it

4. this country is dumb

again if I can make $300 a week flipping taylor swift tickets, anyone with half a brain can make money

instead they are biting tide pods

When you went to college, those kind of jobs probably paid for your school. Those kind of jobs barely pay for school books these days.

Im just curious on what you think the return is, for example if Calgary is the trade partner do you expect.

Adam Fox/Oliver Kylington, 1st rd pick and conditional pick?

I just don't see it unless Buffalo adds to the trade like Hanzal.

That’s probably the average for ppl who just do it part time

But if u do it at peak hours (fri/sat till 5am), and do it full time...

Most ppl won’t put that effort into it though

i actually said 1st rounder, b prospect and conditional pick.

I only brought up the quote to point out that when both sides meet in the middle this deal probably wont include guys like bellows or whatever

Taking a $10 an hour job when you have a degree is literally the dumbest thing you can do.

You will NEVER pay off your loans that way, and you'll be living below the poverty line for the rest of your life. It's untenable

Honestly, I think it'll be a b prospect and a first. I know, as a pens fan, no one would cry if the pens gave up a first and a player like Simon.

The average School loan payment I think I read is close to $1,000 a month.
Average apartment is $900 a month
Car Payment say another $200 a month

$10 per hour even at 50 hours a week. $500 X 70% is 350 X 52 week /12 montsh is roughly 1500 a month/

Expenses 2100 a month
Income 1500 a month

I can’t speak on what a particular GM will be willing to give up

My hope is that we can find the dumbass who will give up a 1st for Goose or Forsberg for Erat type deal

Do I EXPECT that to happen?
No

But I’m not dismissing we’ll get a good deal

What would I personally take?
Something like Bellows & a 2nd
Pick turns to a 1st if Kane re-signs

I do think there’s potential to get more though

Botts didn’t “raise the price” on a whim
He did it bc there’s A LOT of interest

you work it til you get something

hell go buy a vacuum cleaner, a pressure washer and a few cloths

detail cars

you will make $30 an hour

lots of money to be made

I know a lot of people my age, when they were married and had a kid in the oven, the other worked part time at a fast food joint or delivered pizzas on top of their 40 hour a week job

again, they just need to get off their a$$es and don't buy a $700 phone every year
