See what you said about Barkov and relate it to Stone! poorly researched suggestion, move on!
LW? seriously, why? Connor, ehlers, Perreault, are our top three LW now. not to mention Copp, Lowry, Petan, Vesalainen, Lemieux, Foley, all shoot left as well. I said earlier, LW is by far our deepest position on the jets and in the system. - Ross77
1) Zero chance Florida trades Barkov so why even bring it up. Cheap contract , Long term , Franchise player. Its equivalent to Jets trading Scheif. Not going to happen.
2) Stone is RW. Wheeler moves to center or Perreault.
3) LW we basically have Ehlers and Connor. Perreault can play center. Lowry already plays center. Don't care about prospects becuase we are talking this year and maybe next.
Ehlers - Scheif - Stone
Connor- Wheeler - Laine
Perreault - Little - Armia
Tanev - Lowry- Armia
or slide in Hoffman instead on LW and rearrange

Barkov, Barkov, Barkov. Lots of noise on here about him. Great player. Every team would love to have him . However he is signed for cheap until 2022. No way Florida is letting him go . No chance in hell. Same with Trocheck.
Not sure who mentioned him as a trade possibility but its a poorly researched suggestion. Move on. - jetsnation
I don't see Wheeler staying at Centre when Scheifele returns. I would much rather have a bonafide center be a centre whose always played the position as opposed to a guy whose had to play it out of necessity. |

Nice sales pitch, if Philly picks half his salary for the rest of the term, I might think about it. I agree, Yandle has some good qualities but the term and price, ouch!! - CharlieDog
Sorry, Florida picks up half salary.....Dah |

I would be very tempted to try Armia on the top line!

Read the entire thread. - TheUltimateJet
The thread doesn't answer why Florida would want to move Barkov - unless you count paying a king's ransom to pry him away. Being outside the playoffs this year is not a reason for Florida to trade him. The thread focuses on why the Jets want him and of course they want him. Florida is a team on the rebuild and will be keeping their Barkovs/Trocheks etc until there is a tracksuit incident or free agency. |

And, if you trade some of your good prospects and roster players for Kessel, then that could possibly get TO to the promise land! |

Enstrom has already waived for the Vegas draft FYI. We can trade him anytime - sparky1957
That was a one-time exception. He still has an active NMC. |

I don't think they will trade him tho, I am sure no one wants him. Who would want him? I think there is some value there for the rest of the year as depth D but if there is a playoff series (touchwood) he will be ineffective against bigger teams as we already saw that play out against Anaheim. He's got the brain but has other challenges. There is no reversing age and size challenges. - CharlieDog
Cheveldayoff said Enstrom was the player he’d received the most calls about since the team moved the year we made the playoffs. His reputation around the league is a lot stronger than it is with the fair weathers in Winnipeg. |

Rexy, I can't wait for July 1. If Enstrom is resigned for more than 1 year, I will give you one year, I will etransfer you coffee money for TH. An extra large even! Is it a bet?? |

I never said Florida would trade Barkov, I'm telling you to do your research cause there is zero chance Ottawa will trade Stone. Every single reporter has already said Ottawa will listen on anyone not named karleson or stone.
Perreault has said himself he is no longer a Center and is not nearly as effective when playing there. I stand by LW being our last area of need on this team today, tomorrow or three years from now. |

What is your point? That three or four years ago there was interest in him? I realize you put no stock into physical play but the last time we were in the playoffs where more physical play is an absolute reality, Enstrom was our worst D and biggest liability. |

The point is that 3 years ago we needed Toby to be a number one guy and carry the group. Now he is a perfect bottom 3 d-man who is very dependable in that role. |

I’m saying that the most requested player of 2015, the guy the Sedin’s compared to Lidstrom the same year, and the guy Babcock called elite in 2016 is likely to have interesting everywhere. Especially with THN naming him the 4th best player in the history of the franchise. |

Bud this is 2018. Also Babcock also called Datsyuk elite in the same year! |
