Oh Edmonton are the champs of the bad moves.... they could have been a (frank)ing dynasty.... now people are wondering if they can make the playoffs despite having the best player in the world.

I don't disagree but I don't think the guy is infallible. Those guys not playing up to their potential seems to earn them extra ice-time while younger guys get saddles with Martin as punishment. Things like that irk me.


If our division wasn't so horrendous this could be a very different season at this point because since December began this team looks good for 1-2 games out of every 5-6.

I genuinely hope that the Leafs are painful to watch right now because Babcock is forcing them to play in a way that they're not capable of yet, and that we'll get an ROI once they figure it out next season or the season after.

Adding a top pairing D puts Hainsey in his rightful chair as a #5-6 and settles both your first needs.

I disagree about your need for a depth C (Most teams would gladly have Matthews/Kadri/Bozak/Moore as a centre line) but I'm sure a guy like Plekanec can be had for not that much and woulf fullfill that role just fine.

And let's be honest almost team playoffs hopes are crushed if their #1 goaltender falls.

I guess if you mean cheaper and better on the D side, then sure. But imo you will lose on some other things.

Let's hope. At the end of games it definitely feels like he is playing a strategy that worked handily with Kronwall, Zetterberg and Datsyuk in the lineup. Doesn't work when your Kronwall is Hainsey, your Zetterberg is Kadri and your Datsyuk is Komarov...
