So now 2 teams with Cup hopes (although the Oil have slipped right out of contention now), have tried & given up on Yussi, & people think with our issues he's worth a crack here? Who will sit? We know Sully loves playing Fists of Fury 4 minutes so he won't, & our PK isn't going too bad now with Knuckles (who has been part of 2 Cup teams which shouldn't be overlooked but is), so not sur et he will. Play him C I hear. Doubt that happens due to McKegg probably being a better C than Yussi.
Actually when you think about it Florida gave up on Yussi as well. 3 NHL teams in half a year???
So I'm out. |

Because his team generates more shot attempts than they allow when he is on the ice, which means he's a really good player, apparently. Sure, he may not be the one generating the shot attempts, sure they may not be anywhere near the net, sure they may not be from high danger areas, and sure they're not actually going into the net...But come on, we all know that shot attempt differences while on the ice are the only way to measure a player's worth. - jmatchett383
Funny the stat that Gunner shows has Knuckles scoring better than Yussi (only just but still), but we should go with the other stats that don't actually score points! He's a better player except when it comes to the most important thing. |

They are the easiest players to upgrade, and most of the time cost nothing or very minimal assets. When players become available... why not talk about whether or not it improves the team for little to no cost? |

What lineup looks better?
Simon-Crosby-Sprong
Hagelin-Malkin-Hornqvist
Sheary-Guentzel-Kessel
Kuhnhackl-Sheahan-Rust (Rust-Sheahan-Reaves)
Or
Guentzel-Crosby-Sprong
Hagelin-Malkin-Kessel
Sheary-Sheahan-Hornqvist
Simon-Jokinen-Rust
Personally, I like the second on a lot better. Yes to Jussi. - Victoro311
The second one, but now that the Pens are playing much better, I wonder if Rutherford will wait to make a bigger splash for a center. |

Paul Martin had a terrible season. So bad that Shero asked him if he wanted a trade. I don't care what the fancy stats say, he was terrible in that season. Credit to him he refused and was pretty damn good the remainder of his time here.

Because its becoming a dead horse.
Kuhnackl is 10 yrs younger than Jokinen and producing at the same level, why would you want to replace him? |

he plays a lot of C as well, especially on the PK. - DDM-Coga
I completely forgot about that. He can definitely play both wings as he was on Malkin left for a while. |

It’s really Rowney that’d we be looking to replace on the 4th line. He fact is that Kuhnhackl-Rowney-Reaves is a terrible line that gets hemmed into its own zone on a shift to shift basis. I’m worried that when Rowney gets healthy, Sully will put him back into the lineup, move Sheahan back up to 3C, and G to LW and we’ll go back to having a dumpster fire 4th line that bleeds shot attempts and can’t score. |

How many shots can be bled, or goals scored playing 4 minutes?
And usually only in the first part of the first period?
Edit: you're stuck in limbo, not seeing the forest due to the trees. |

Yo, eye test purist. (frank)ing tell me that the 4th line hasn’t been leaps and bounds better with Sheahan at C. It’s actually been good. |

MacKenzie was on Insider Trading and mentioned that Rutherford has been in talks with Botterill about Kane. Not the first time we hear it but when Bob speaks, I listen...
They also said Botterill is looking for as many as 4 assets for Kane. A 1st, a prospect, a roster player, plus conditional pick if he re-signs. I think that's too steep and probably exaggerated....selling GMs always asks for the moon |

Now that Sid is back to being Sid, I'd pass on a winger and refocus on the 3c. I'm praying Ruth keeps our 1st this year. |

100% Bubba.
1. I'm not the eye test purist, just hate all these fake stats & fake stats people
2. The 4th line isn't & wasn't our biggest issue. 'Some' on here act as if it is.
Trickle down effect remember that 1.
The stars have been Stars & producing like stars. Sid has been double shifted & played over 20 Minutes last game & was stellar. I remember when tired legs were a cause due to a bad 4th line & Sid playing more minutes.......... |

He can have Sheary, a 2nd, and any 2 scrubs not names ZAR or Blueger from Wilkes Barrie
That's 4 assets
2nd becomes a 1st if he resigns
