Or we can all overreact like winy emotional female doges every time the Leafs lose.
Who exactly is blaming our 4th liners or 3rd pairing dmen on here? I saw several people saying Marner (frank)ed up. Cause he did.

I mean really. I pointed out specifically that Marner (frank)ed up. Did you miss that? He's young. He'll learn.
Like I said in the message you just quoted, hopefully Babcock has a talk with him and explains exactly what he did wrong and what to do in that situation instead. Hopefully he plays smarter next time.

People give the Blues too much credit.. They looked awful tonight which is why its frustrating how the Leafs played, minus Freddy. IDGAF about Marner or how he played, you take the good with the bad from him. If Nylander scored on that breakaway then the Blues Dman would be he scapegoat. From the get go the Leafs looked timid. Idk if Babs thinks this is how hockey is supposed to be played but doesnt seem to be a winning formula.. Rotating Borgman, Carrick, and Dermott wont matter. Just (frank)in let the kids run wild, put AM on the first PP unit ffs... It's like Babs wants us to hate him

He doesn't deserve any more rope than Hyman, Nylander, Soshnikov, Bozak or Polak.

You just watch how little is made of this until tomorrow. Then watch how much is made the next time our 4th line winger/center (frank)s up.

It's quite incredible.

I got no qualms saying he has been floating and soft as poop and not competing at all this year. Last year he had a chip on his shoulder, he wanted to prove he belonged. This year he is just sort of there and honestly not sure if he is getting ahead, or working on being traded??!! Definitely need a hell of a lot more from him!

Does Nylander really get more rope?

I mean, the others, I can kind of understand.
Polak doesn't bring offense, so if he can't do his job defensively or takes too many penalties, then what is his purpose? At least Marner produces offense. Same with most of the others.

He gets "more rope", cause despite his mistakes, he is usually an asset. He also shows more potential for improving than most of the other players you listed, so yeah, people will cut him some slack. Is this really such a bad thing?

If people are pretending he didn't make a mistake at all, then I'll happily call them out with you. Me? I'll acknowledge he made a bad mistake, but can still see he is a good young player with the potential to grow into a great one.

No doubt this has been a disappointing season for Marner so far. I expected better.
He might still turn things around and have a better second half, but tonight wasn't a good attempt at that.

He's young with a lot of upside though. I think he'll grow into a great player, it will just take time.

I agree but also would say out of the big three he IS the question mark. Talent and skilled sure, but also small and not sure he has bought in as much as Nylander who seems ahead of him right now. Hoping he pans out but don't know. I mean Daigle had talent and skill too but was a nothing in the end too so... I think you give him time and chance to show it but have to be prepared to call it as well and move him when you think it isn't going to pan out.

Two guys already in Martin when thornburn grabbed him. How that was even was a joke.

Matthews gets tackled from behind in the twice no call. Refs may as well not be there

Bruins have hardly lost since mid nov or something and leafs not winning as much as they're losing in that time.

When was last time leafs won a game in regulation?
