The only thing I could possibly think we are looking to send them is Kinkaid. Blackwood is likely to be the NHL backup soon, Appleby is there and I think Cormier is AHL eligible next year. Even losing Wedgewood goalie is pretty crowded.

And as for someone's comment earlier about Barzal, most people wanted Provorov.

I personally compared Barzal to Gomez, and the career trajectory has been remarkably similar. Barzal looks like he has more of a scoring touch though. The Isle also has a lot of skill up front to complement him.

Last thing I'm going to say is that Zacha was SUPPOSED to be NHL ready earlier and that would still be the case if you're drafting this year and looking at two players. What the org decides to do with a player after he's been drafted also affects development, so it's easily possible that Barzal might have stumbled with us and Zacha would have been ripping it for the Sharks or something.
