The stats seriously say @NHLFlyers Filppula may be worst top 6 Fwd in the @NHL this year offensively

0.95 P/60 (11th worst of 188 Fwds with 500+ TOI)
45.36 CF% (11th worst)

I don't think simply trying not to do anything wrong (Manning/Hagg/MacDonald special) is the best way to play defense in the NHL. Give me the skill and let him play. I think Sanheim has shown that he can be responsible and that seemed to come when he played more regularly. He has played what, like 1 game in the last two weeks?

You're right, it's not the best way to play defense in the NHL. Right now, Sanheim isn't capable of giving the team the opposite. The issue is he is not going to get better in the press box.

Things are going well right now, so I can understand letting it ride, but I don't think that will last forever. Konecny didn't "deserve" to be on the top line for the Flyers, but putting good players in good position to succeed often brings good results.

That depends on what the standard is for deserving something. In my opinion Konecny being given an opportunity on the top line came after a period of time where Konecny improved his puck management and play away from the puck. He's also now getting more ice time in the 3rd period when the team has a lead. None of it is a coincidence or random.
