interest doesn't always equal bidding war. im sure half the league is interested in adding a goal scorer. that interest quickly fades when they see the price.

It's always been the same 4 or 5 teams.

- Sabresfan-365

U don’t think 4 or 5 teams is enough
Only takes 2 teams that really want him to drive up the price

At this point,
I’d assume the price went up bc there is A LOT of interest
Otherwise,
doesn’t make sense that the price rose
If it was the opposite,
the price would drop

Right?

botts prefers bringing in players ready for nhl next season anyhow

an nhl ready winger or guhle like prospect gets him

- homiedclown

I don’t read a lot into that

They’re gonna offer low
We are gonna demand high

We will likely meet somewhere in the middle
Unless there’s a bidding war that drives up the price

I’ve been saying all along that the player/prospect that we get is much more important than how high of a draft pick we get

Sounds like that’s how Botts is looking at it too
Although I’m sure he’d also like a 1st

LeBrun: "I've spoken to a couple of teams that covet Evander Kane, that intend on making a play for him, and that would like to have him. None of them intend to include a first-round pick in their offer." #Sabres 1050

They don't even want to include a first rounder for him

If you are watching them do stupid things your giving them views if they get 3m views how much money do you think they make ?

YouTube is the easiest place to become a millionaire

- GERBE!!!75PTS

Lets say they did on average it's $1 per 1,000 views so 3,000,000 is going to net you $3,000 before taxes.

BUT....

Youtube doesnt pay bye the viewer. They generally pay by the ad watched for >30 seconds or if it is clicked on, which no advertisement is going to pick up these videos and youtube will instantly demonetize the video for being disrespectful or harmful.

reputation drives value

hanzal: hard working two way centre (not saying true just the reputation)

Kane: problem child (again not saying its true)

I'm freaking Nostradamus in here today. Teams are going to low ball, Botterill is going to ask the moon. They meet in the middle and settle on a pick and prospect, and maybe a conditional.

Of course their offer will start low
Not like they’re gonna tell LeBrun the most they’re willing to give up
What team doesn’t say they don’t wanna trade 1st round picks?
Yet it happens all the time anyways

If that's their plan, they're gonna have to get aggressive with clearing out problems. I wonder if they can talk to Moulson and say, "listen, you're not gonna make the team next year, and you're not going to play and live in California. You have two options: retire, or play for the Americans, where you will be expected to show up on time, or we will be voiding your contract like Steve Moses. If you retire, there's a good chance we'll be able to find you a position within the organization"

Ship Bogo somewhere for a pick or Bailey or something

It doesn't though. its very rare that teams trade firsts.

If we get a first for Kane i expect it to have many conditions like advancement in the playoffs, and resigning and such.

So we might get picks and players or it might be picks and prospects. But things can change. Got it... 🤔

I am also calling it might be picks, it might be players. But things change.
