Sorry I was conflating Batman and Bond. JCrag was talking about Batman and Elba.

Jack Reacher is 6'5" 270lbs of solid muscle with "fists like Thanksgiving turkeys" in the books, he's Tom Cruise in the movies. I bet Bond isn't a different guy in every third book either. Lots of artistic license goes into movie making. I was just saying in the movies Bond is a code name, so it could be literally anyone.
