How so?
Has he been wrong lately?

Seems to be more on Torontos junk than other teams.

With the Islanders having two 1sts and two 2nds in this year's draft I would be looking to them for a trade. They are in a win now mode in order to convince Tavares to resign. Maybe work a package deal with Kane and Lehner for Greiss, Bellows, a 1st and 2nd. Could ask for a conditional pick if Kane resigns.
- adambuffalo

what is Greiss' contract? is he signed beyond this year? they need an improvement in goal and lehner could be attractive

I was skeptical of the idea of bringing in Greiss due to his contract length, but it actually could be perfect for Ullmark. Ullmark can play 50 or so games to get him acclimatized, and if he struggles at times, Greiss can play more without Ullmark having to look over his shoulder at a potential goalie of the future

Personally i don't think he was ever that good. He never played a ton, but he had a nice year and they over committed to a backup. But if taking that contract helps create the kind of return adam was talking about, sweet

GM/coach jack probably told Kane that if he wants to play on his line, Kane has to give him 10% of his next contract.

3p in his last 9g without Eichel

9p in 8g for Okposo with Eichel

Jack's making erbody look good

- jcragcrumple

If u take away Okposo’s terrible start...
(which I think we can safely say was bc of his medical issues)
He’s playing at at 61 point pace

His goal scoring is still down
And he’s not an ideal top line winger
But he’s been playing much better & is actually a pretty decent player

Bellows isn’t gonna be included for a rental.
He looks great. Dal Colle/ho sang are prospects the isle aren’t as high on

He’s based out of Toronto,
and that is the center of the hockey world...

I’m not sure how that hurts his credibility though?

Now that Toronto is good again,
of course they’re gonna be more in the discussion

Unless he’s been wrong about stuff,
I don’t see it as a “credibility” issue

Yeah... I feel the same
If it gets us Bellows, then I’m fine taking on Greiss
We can always send him down to Rochester

Bellows is the level of guy we should be looking for in a Kane trade
Maybe the Isles wouldn’t move him...
but we just need to find one GM who will move that type of guy for Kane

If you look at it like:

Lehner (RFA)

For

Sabres take iffy contract (Greiss)
and Bellows

and Kane for a 1st, and a conditional, it sounds about right

Casey Mittelstadt named #1 prospect outside of the NHL today in an article on the Athletic. Nylander was #24.

I agree that Bellows may be untouchable, but that is what I would ask for. If they are not going to give him up, I would ask for Ho Sang and Mitch vande Sompel.

Sv% 0.886 and GAA 3.86??

Taking that contract ought to reduce Kane’s price.

PRICE. The isles should pay the PRICE!

Bellows is too good of a prospect to be a piece to take Greiss

I’d say it’s more like:
Lehner for a 2nd
Kane for Bellows & a 1st, plus the conditional
Since that’s a lot for a potential rental,
we will take Greiss of their hands for a little Cap relief to try & sign Kane

I’d do Kane for Bellows & 2nd
Conditional 1st if they sign Kane

Our priority should be to get a Bellows level prospect if possible

I was looking at the Islanders roster when you posted this and it is the first time I realized that there are two Sebastian Ahos in the league.

Speaking of that, how is he an all-star this year? .908 sv%

And people think Eichel was a pity-pick by the NHL

Parts and pieces change with trade rumors so as of now he's open for business but in no hurry to move out players or pieces, we are in a good spot and teams wants pieces that we have. Maximizing his assets for better assets and value.

you won't see a reunion, Peter Criss is done and it makes no sense to have Ace come back with Tommy there. But with Gene being as greedy as he is, anything is possible.
