Given the fact that he was taken 21st overall, and we traded down to grab a pick in the 2nd round (who turned out to be Rasmus Andersson) I think it's quite topical considering it's been years and years since an Oiler fan has seen any sort of move that good.

Middling NHLer is exactly what he is. He's currently a 3rd liner producing at around a 3rd line rate with the potential to maybe do so at a second line rate. He's a middle-6 player in the NHL thus a middling NHLer. Whats contentious about that?
