Well, a message board, which you spend an inordinate amount of time, is safer than life. I'm not sure if I've seen a Sabre hated more by two fans than Bogosian is by you and Broads, for some peculiar reason. A quick search shows that since 1983, fully 34 years of drafts, there have been less than 15 notable players picked in rounds 5 and thereafter. That’s one every other year roughly.
(guessing about 20 teams average picking each year, making average of 5 rounds = 100 selections total x 34 years = 3,400 total player selection during that span in rounds 5+)
Those odds are crazy low to the point it is a joke to even discuss.
But, hey whatever.
And lastly, sinc3 Scott has been watching from the stands, they have played one good game...CLEARLY TIME TO BRING BACK SCOTT WILSON!!! (That was a joke guys)

That's fair, but when you trade a 5th for Wilson, you're guaranteed not to get an impact player, due to him being bad. If you keep the pick, it's at least possible to get an impact player.

I'm still bitter about the Boston (i believe) series where Vanek was tearing it up, and then some jamoke tough guy hacked the back of his leg on a breakaway. Vanek got a penalty shot but was clearly screwed up. The coach of the dbag who did it called it "a hockey play." If Vanek played that whole series, Sabres could have won imo

Let them gain valuable experience playing under the pressure of going for a league title. Not saying the Amerks win it all, but the experience of chasing it will be invaluabl in the longer term.
